What does everyone do after the parks close early during weekdays??? i know they are closing around 8pm most weekdays..does everyone flock to downtown disney??? What else is there to do at DL after the parks close??? How late are the shops in the hotels open??? what else is there to do around the hotels or anywhere on property after the parks close for the night..thanks for all info and opinions!

We loved to go back to the hotel and hit the hot tub. DD13 and I stayed at HoJo, and we hung out in the jacuzzi there which is next to the water play slides. Some cute boys got her to go run under the dump bucket every time it dumped. She even made me go! :rotfl: It was a great way to wind down and soak our tired feet. Then we went back to the room, showered and relaxed so we'd be ready to get up early for the next day.

If it were just DH and I (oh, boy, I wish! ... some day!) I would totally hit DTD and hang out at Uva Bar or on the verandah of Jazz Kitchen and have a nightcap, and people watch. There are usually street musicians and stuff-- very cool atmosphere!

When we're there in June, the parks will close at 8pm two nights I believe b/c of Grad night(not sure what time they normally close)- but it's perfect for us! We have 2 small children so we'll go back and put them to bed. If they're still too excited and can't sleep, we'll hit the hotel pool.

We take advantage of the early night and get to bed soon! It helps so we can be refreshed and raring to go because the next day starts reeeeally early.

We've headed back to the hotel room to eat, maybe swim a bit and then just watch some tv or read in the room and get to sleep for the next day. All our early nights have been with kids though. If it was just adults I would probably go check out DTD our mayber the Gardenwalk. Not sure what time the Gardenwalk closes though.

Have a snack and hit the sack! nothing better then a good night sleep to start out the next day :) I love early park closing, we feel better, get more done as everyone is not so tired all day, and even can get a movie in at times.

I second that. The AMC theaters in DTD is great!

Me and My fiance had the same question! we were sad that they were closing so early....
Are the movies in DTD the same price as anywhere else or do they raise the prices cause its in Disneyland?

When we went to the DTD AMC they were the same price as anywhere else.

You still get the hour of shopping time on on Main St when the parks close early so it could be after 9p before you get out. We usually head back to the room for some rest and relaxation. Or maybe take a drive to In-N-Out burger for an early late nite snack. :) Or if the Angels are in town, we'll go to a baseball game. Mostly it's good to head back to the room and get rest for the next day!

We light going to see a movie, or go for a late dinner. Sometimes go back to the hotel to sit in the hot tub or just get into those comfy Pj's and watch some TV while winding down for the night.

shops on main street stay open either 1/2 or 1 hour past park closing...so it's fun to stroll out and look at everything, go back to hotel, do laundry, geet a bite to eeat somewhere or a dessert......

Disneyland rarely ever closes at 8PM. It is only during very, very slow weeks that they close at 8PM. Most weekdays are 10PM or 11PM.

As things to do: most of the large shops stay open within the park until one hour after closing. Also, most of Downtown Disney is still open until 10PM, with some restaurants until 11PM.

Of course, never forget that the lines close at 8PM, not the rides. As long as you make it in line by 8PM, you get to ride.
