We are going to the 7:15 HDD and thought it would be nice to hang around for the 9:45 water parade.

How long does the HDD last? I figure about an hour? So, what can we do at FW while we wait for the parade?

Hi... I am pretty sure it was a good 90 minute - 2 hour show.

I don't think you will have that much time to kill...

I think you can arrange a horse and carriage ride to pickup there. I remember it being extremely dark while waiting for the buses with a crowd of people and mosquitos... then a long dark bus ride back to civilization lol

Danemom, We have done this many times and it works out well. You will have 20 minutes or so to burn. It is dark so you may want to bring a small flashlight, also be sure to bring bug spray, we were covered with mosquito bites the last time we did this. We don't have children and usually go into the Tavern next door to Pioneer Hall and have a beer. It is a restaurant so if you have kids I am sure they could have a soda. By the time the Water Pagent is over there will be no wait for the bus back to the parking lot. Have fun!
