Hey

I have a flight at 7pm and I don't no what am going to do once Disney drops me out at Orlando airport

I don't drive and really need some help or ideas so am not standing about all day.

Also how far is universal from here in a taxi and what would I do with cases

Any other ideas pleaseeee

You can reserve a day room at the MCO Hyatt. They are available from 10am-6pm at around $80/90 for the day. We used one our last cruise and it was a great way to wait on the depressing flight home.

How far is that from the airport

Do they have swimming pools and stuff I can use

Or if I went to universal. How much would that be in a taxi and where could I put the cases

Sadly you would have to take your luggage with you since all baggage holding and lockers were closed due to federal regulations. :( I *think* airlines only let you check in luggage 4 hours or so ahead of time, but you could double-check with your carrier?

Is there anywhere near by that would let me put my bags with them ?

Surely there must be other ways then getting a hotel room for the day

Sorry, there is no short term luggage storage at MCO. Check with your airline to see how far ahead of time they will allow you to check suitcases.

Only option may be asking at the Hyatt if they will let you store your luggage without being a guest. Won't be free. You might as well get the room.

Might be cheaper hotels within a shuttle ride of the airport but the shuttle ride will eat up your time.

Is there swimming pools at that hotel

And how much would a taxi to universal be from there

The Hyatt MCO does have a pool that you are allowed to use if you rent a day room. We have the same situation - 7pm departure. I just reserved our room for 4 of us and it was $119. You can use the room 10am-6pm

That's not bad. I would of liked to gone to Disney or universal as I will still have a day left on them to use

However with taxis etc it's to costly :(

Do u think many people do a carribean cruise from uk for a week without a stay in Orlando

Not to sure if that's a bit silly cos it's a long way to come

We have flown Portland, OR -> San Juan Puerto Rico twice for a week long cruise (about 12 hours travel time, 8 hours or so of it in the air) and that was fine for us since thats all we had time for. I think with all the glorious vacation time you get in the UK it is easy enough to lengthen the holiday when you come across the pond though, especially once you have already stomached the airfare! ;)

We were similar with 2 kids. Got to airport, but flight was not till evening after cruise. We window shopped because they have a lot of shops there -more interesting than many airports- bought books and Starbucks and sat and read, drank coffee/hot chocolate/people watched/ played cards. We did all this before going through security. Not sure how many are in your party and if you have anyone with you to tag team on watching any bags.

Yeah I totally agree with that but all these extras are turning into thousands lol

And now is room stay and taxis as we don't want to sit at the airport all day

When will the list of expenses end lol

A week in Florida and a week on the cruise must be costing about 6 and a half thousand and my partner thinks am nuts getting lol

My partner is starting to think we shoul do Europe cruise to cut costs as we are in UK

But the problem with that is it would be Norway which could rain and we defo want some sun after this winter or the med cruise but we already done that one last year

What would you do ??

Sitting in the airport would cost you nothing (besides what you would spend on food) but yes it is boring. If you want to do anything else, you have to pay.

Being from the UK, I would assume you don't want to rent a car.

I'd fly out a day later and spend a night at WDW. Let DCL transfer you to your WDW resort ($35 PP for transfers). Spend the night and then let Disney transfer you to MCO (free).

What would I do? I would book a day room at the Hyatt at the airport and relax until it was time to check in for my flight.
