after seeing Fantasmic once, do you now skip it?

It's hard to believe Disney in all their wisdom cannot come up with a better way to stage this show, so that it doesn't tie up two or three hours of their guests time to attend it. It's a great show, but we have seen it a few times, and just don't believe that the time investment is worth it.

We're not crazy about the MGM restaurants, so the dinner package is not interesting to us.

How 'bout a fast pass!?

I like the show, especially the water screens and mickey's spots in the show, but it's not as much of a "must-do" for me as Illuminations. But I go with a girlfriend who LOVES Fantasmic, so we definitely go. Trust me, though, I'm NOT complaining! :goodvibes

It's a must see for me. Might skip it now and then if I went to WDW multiple times a year but I can only dream about having to make that choice! lol

Myst

Saw it last year and probably won't go again. DH and I like shows like FOTLK, but parade-types leave us cold. I don't think we've ever watched an actual parade together yet.

It's one of the best shows at WDW, but, in my opinion, it is the worst one for squeezing bodies in like sardines, to get as many people in as possible to the point, in my opinion, that you can become claustrophobic, even though it is outside! Also, the second worst attraction right behind Fantasmic for canned fish-like conditions, is the waiting area to get into The Little Mermaid show. :scared: :crowded: Why do they insist on belly-to-back conditions on these attractions?

Miss it!! No way! Only once - when it got rained out every night we could have been at MGM to see it.

It is a must do every trip! We see it twice a year and don't tire of it. Great show and my now 6 y/o has seen probably 12 times since she was one and loves it.

It is a definite. We start our trip that way. We leave airport early afternoon head straight to MGM and do the Hollywood and Vine dinner package. It is an awesome start to the vacation. Love the music and visuals.

Yep, we skip it now. DH really didn't like it at all, and it's just not worth sitting around so long before.

besides, the DL version is SO much better, I'd see that one again in a heartbeat!

I saw it a while ago and had a chance to see it last week and decided to do something else new. I will probably skip it on my May trip as well, since I really don't lake standing in line 2 hours before anything to get a seat.

SkipperBubba pirate: and I do Fantasmic and Illuminations each trip, and are proud owners of the soundtrack CDs. We really enjoy the music and the visuals. And we're firm believers in the dinner package -- we usually want to eat at the Derby once each trip, so why not kill two birds with one stone?
Cheers,

A must-see. For us, the wait is part of the experience! We bring food and enjoy doing the "wave" and people-watching!

We did it the first year it started and havn't done it since. We were not wowed by it and now don't bother. We hated the exit procedure and thought it could be handled better.
The show was OK.

There is no way we would skip fantasmic. It is by far the best night time show WDW has. JMO :earsboy:

We have never been able to bring ourselves to skip it. We have a five day vacation coming up during the first Star Wars weekend and are considering skipping Fantasmic! to do Star Wars stuff, but we will probably go back. It is a good show.

I saw it once, and have no desire to go back.

Tried once in September, but a torrential downpour cancelled the show. We haven't been back since. I don't like waiting the hour before hand to hold a seat. I just don't think it's worth it.
