She was a very petite but strong woman. She said she didn't remember any pains but it was probably because she was too busy cooking and chasing after children!Lisa loves Pooh said:Don't recall why it is "worse" with subsequent births---but just that it is. Different pain threshholds for different women though. Depends on what else might be hurting at the time.

). Immediately after she was born, I just all the medication that couldn't 'flow free' started to work. I felt NOTHING for hours after her birth. I was determined since she was going to be the last to at least try to see what the placenta looked like!
The doctor held it up for me to see and when I said "Ick!" he said something to me I have never forgotten: "Be glad you're not a cow, you'd have to eat this!". 
What pains? I had 2 C-Sections and never had any pains after. In fact as soon as I was returned to my room from the recovery room I had the Dr. remove the IV. And I giggled my way through having the staples removed before I left the hospital.
I only had a very small tear with DD that didn't require any stitches. Stitches freak me out also. I will have motrin and tylenol on hand though.
