After eons of lurking, turning DIS newb! :)

Hi everyone!

I've been hanging around for what seems like ever, but I finally just got around to registering.

I am a former Disney Store & WDW (studios) CM, and self proclaimed disney-freak. I flip for all things Alice, but the parks are where my heart is! I love the feeling I get when I first see the castle or set foot on main street.

DH & I are 37 days from a week at AKL without the kids! I can't wait!!! And we were able to use my airline miles to fly 1st class free!! So basically what started as our weekend getaway has turned into a 2nd honeymoon!!

We plan to do some of the dining & staring at things in awe (like I do with the tree of life everytime I see it) that the kids just can't stand to do.

We're planning another WDW trip with the kids next summer which will be super exciting, they are trying to countdown already! lol.

Is anyone else going to be staying at AKL 4/28-5/5??

Welcome it can be nice without the kids my wife and I did it several times. It's so much more relaxing we ended up slowing down even with the kids. We tend to take our time and because we go for 10 days we come and go as we please and if a ride has a huge line we come back later or another day. I think your going to have a great time

Thank you everyone for the awesome welcome! I can't even begin to tellyou how excited I am!!! I love Disney with kids, but I love Disney w/out kids just as much - a whole different experience. Of course, since the bulk of my experiences at the parks were before I had kids, I'm still partial to the ability to wander around aimlessly that being w/out kids gives me. Being a CM spoiled me that way.

I totally stole a stack of green mickey's from the depot to put on my bags! DH thinks I'm a total goober. But I admit that freely. LOL!
