Hi to all you scrappers. I live in Australia and we are heading to DL in Sept 2011. Are there any good places nearby to get Disney embellishments as it is hard to find Disney items here. I have looked on ebay but am looking for more than just stickers. Can anybody help? I really appreciate it.
Thanks Becky:earboy2:

All the gift shops have scrapbooking packs for purchase. If you are looking for specific embellishments(like brads/eyelets/clips)...I haven't really seen a lot of them.

Perhaps there is a Michaels or Hobby Lobby nearby that you could get a taxi to?

how about online ordering to be delivered to your hotel? I usually do this so I don't have to spend too much of my precious vacation time shopping, even if it is scrap-shopping! Mouse Memories, Disney Scrapper and Scrap Your Trip are ones I've used previously.

There is a place in Kissimmee www.mousememories.com they also have an on line shop might be worth while sending an email to the owner to see if she will ship to australia. I know she ships to England .

Mouse memories is good. I also found a pack of Toy Story scrapbooking stuff at the gift shop in the wilderness lodge back in April. I bought two, I think it has double sided paper and some die cuts. I think it was aroung 10-11 dollars?

Thank you so much for your help. I knew I would get great advice.

I just bought BUNCH (over 50 stickers) from a person on Ebay named parttimeworker04 and was shocked at how good the prices were and the shipping was so reasonable. good luck finding what you want

Are you going to Disneyland or Disney World? If you're going to Disneyland, I can probably help you out and let you know about places that would be nearby. The only major craft stores we have out here in California are JoAnn and Michaels (and Beverly's in some cities, but not in Orange County as far as I know). There is sadly no Hobby Lobby out here...I wish there was, but alas, no.

We will be going to DL. Is the Disney Outlet shop close by and if so, is it worth having a look?
Thanks for your help again

Since you're going to DL, look into a Michaels nearby. Michaels is a craft store. It always has a great scrapbooking section, and there are lots of Disney themed items. You can find stickers, embelishments, albums, Disney themed paper, etc. (there is a good selection, with about 4 aisles of scrapbooking stuff, the Disney is mixed in - so some Disney paper in the aisle of paper, some Disney stickers in the aisle of stickers, etc.)

Go to www.michaels.com, and from there, pick Find a Store. Put in the address for DL, and that should help you find the closest store. If you sign up ahead, you can also get a 40% off coupon emailed to you, which would be good for 1 regular priced item.

Check out Joanns.com. They have a TON of Disney stuff and you can order online. Don't know what the shipping would be for you though. They have enough stuff to choose from it may be worth paying the shipping. I got a lot of stuff for my trip there and they always seem to have a great sale! Good luck!

There are two permanent Disney outlets in CA. One is in Fullerton, which is VERY close to Disneyland and only because it's so close would I say that it's worth giving it a look if you have time. The other is in Pomona...which isn't quite as close. I've been to the Fullerton one many times. There are also roaming ones, but you'll have to wait until closer to September probably to know where those will be. Each time I go (to any of them--permanent and roaming), I end up being more and more disappointed because the prices are really pretty high and fluctuate so drastically from day to day and store to store. Lately there haven't been the greatest discounts. It's fun to look (and will probably be especially since you've never been), but the only thing I really ever get very consistently are mouse ears hats. If you need directions from Disneyland to either of the permanent ones, let me know.

As a sidenote, Disneyland has actually been marking down their products that are going out of season inside the park with 40% discounts. You just need to look for the signs. I got a pair of the really nice lined Mickey Ears Crocs for hardly anything, along with the scrapbook kits, keychains, license plate holders, etc. that were from the theme they were ready to move on from.

We will be going to DL. Is the Disney Outlet shop close by and if so, is it worth having a look?
Thanks for your help again

Moikturtle--- Thank you for your help. I will continue to look online and hopefully get to check out some of the local craft shops when we are in the area.

Hi beckinoz,
This is something I am always after as well. I have found an online shop based in Australia where I have been able to get some nice papers. I was looking recently and I'm pretty sure they have embellishments now as well.

Platpus, I bought an album from her after out last trip. I still had to top up on papers though. I know photo contintental at Mt Gravatt have some things but it is the cost. I will just keep looking.

Thanks for your help.
