Just wondering if people stay "dressed" after dinner on formal and semi-formal night on the 7 days.

On our previous cruises I know we stayed "dressed" after our night at Lumiere's (actually every night) for whatever we did. Do people do this on the 7 night or is it a mad rush to return to casual? Would we be terribly out of place?

I'm pretty sure the kids will revert to casual almost immediately but that is ok as long as I get the pics and enjoy it for dinner!

P.S. Bucakroo's Dad - I am SPECIFICALLY defining "dressed" in this post as in the formal wear NOT as having clothing on! :p

A lot of people do change after formal night but not everyone. We always do because we head down to the clubs to take part in the theme nights and didn't want to party in suits and long dresses and shoes that hurt!!!

For me, it depends on what I'll be doing. I usually change into shorts and a t-shirt if we're going to say, ESPN SkyBox, or Rockin' Bar D. If we're just going to relax at Sessions with a drink and listen to the piano, I probably won't bother changing right away.

Either way, you won't be out of place. I remember one formal night when we changed right away and met our tablemates at ESPN for sports trivia. They were still in their formal wear, while we were dressed casually, but we shared a table and won the trivia contest! There was a pretty equal split between those who changed and those who still were decked out.

Thanks for the quick responses! Guess I have this romantic notion in my head of strolling the deck all dressed up. :)

And hey! If I'm going to put the money, time and effort into doing it I want it to last as long as possible!

We change out of our formal wear for the simple reason of not wanting our "nicer" clothes to be ruined by smoking facilities. In the bars & Espn smoking is allowed - just another thing to consider if you might be going into these areas.

I do remember that we had some wind as well. Although perhaps it didn't seem so bad on the second cruise because our first kept us on the "edges" of Hurricane Bonnie! :p

Hey there, Deb.

Guess I have this romantic notion in my head of strolling the deck all dressed up.

From what I've heard, you make a dish rag look elegant - so who needs formal wear...

Wishing you MANY romantic stolls on warm wind-swept evenings, as your smile lights up the deck you so elegantly grace like a million elated Dis-smiles...

And this is the guy that is having a casting call for wife #2? :p You should have them falling at your feet Cyrano! ;)

Thanks - we've been waiting for this trip a long time!
