after cruise... full day before flight ideas?

We have usually had flights that left arougn 2:00 or so and have done DTD and gatorland and even just hung at the airport but this time our flight is not until 5pm. What should we do?? We have a rental car. I was thinking mayube wonderworks or ripley's.. there is not quite enough time for the parks or universal. I hate to just sit around all day. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I haven't done it, but many get a day room at the Hyatt at the airport.

I think DTD is still a good option (maybe take in a movie or go to Disney Quest--my family loves that place!).

We are actually planning to go to Blizzard Beach on our day we get off the ship and wait for a late flight (5:00 pm also). We may be crazy, so I can't recommend this until we do it ourselves. We have a 'plus' left on our parkhopper and have never been to BB, and figured we could go for a few hours before heading to the airport. I hope I don't regret it (many have said there are showers there that you can get cleaned up and I am taking a blow dryer with us).

When we had a flight at 4:30, we went to Kennedy Space Center for the day. We got there just as it opened & we had a great time (in fact we didn't have quite enough time), but we were two adults with no kids. YMMV.

Now you know how much I HATE snow! ( it was doing little flakes this morning but as it was only 12 degrees it was too cold to snow)

I love you dearly my friend but I would NEVER go anywhere near anything reminestent of our horrid hateful snow...

I have a car rented for the day I get off the Magic as well. My flight leaves at 430. Can anyone suggest anything to do? I mean where to go downtown disney that I could waste time?

That Ice show at Gaylord Palms sounds amazing! Another idea would be to do Holiday shopping in Orlando or at Downtown Disney with a nice lunch. Have a wonderful cruise!!!

We don't have a flight until 745pm the day we get off the ship. We are renting a car and going to DTD and DisneyQuest. DQ was my DH's choice. He loves that place.

My Family has done this, we picked up a rental car after getting off the ship, Budget, then we went to Disney Market Place, we did some shopping, my son loves the Magic store, we then went to eat at Planet Hollywood, or there is the Rainforest Cafe. We then dropped off the car right at the airport. Have a great time.
