I know that we disembark the boat at 8:30. The auto train leaves at 4...have to be there by 2ish for boarding. Is there enough time to make it? The station is in Sanford, Florida. Has anyone done this?
TIA,

You should have more then enought time. I've flown from Sanford and it is about 50 minutes from WDW, so figure 2 hours or so from the Port.

DH, DD and I did the auto train last Sept. from WDW. It only took about 45 to an hour to get there from the Contemporary. You'll have plenty of time. They didn't have us board until about 20 minutes before the train was scheduled to leave. I can't remember for sure but I think they stop checking in cars about 3:15. There isn't much to do there while you wait to board and lobby seating is limited. Lorton's station is much nicer. We did the reserve coach seating option. DD loved it since there were other girls her age to play with. Not the most restful sleep I've ever had but it sure beat 16 hrs of driving. :D

We have taken the cruise two times and then went on the auto train. there is plenty of time. what we do is drive up to sanford, you should be there by 11:30, check in, then go back down the road to the mall, pick up some lunch then come back to the train. no problem at all with the time.
