I asked here for advice on turning my dining room into a scrapbook/craft room and here is what I came up with.

I have my side of the room and my kids have theirs. They have been threatened with their lives--okay a month of grounding and monetary fines-- if they touch anything on my side of the room. I have also given them plenty on their side so hopefully that will help.

I ended up painting the walls a very pale yellow, sort of just a light tint. The color doesn't show up well here. I bought lamps for extra lighting and have Reveal bulbs in them.

The view from my kitchen. There is a door between the kitchen and this room.

The view from the other end of the room facing the kitchen. This end is MY end of the room--no kids allowed!

The kids end of the room where they have their shelves with scrapbook things and their computer. They get to share the table on this side. Or a friend can use it! ;)

It looks wonderful!!

And so clean.

Want to come over and help me with mine?

Hi. What a great place. I moved my stuff up to a spare bedroom, but I some how still scrap on the dinning room table. It would HELP if my stuff was ORGANIZED. Where did you get your cup holder that clips onto your table?

That's a CM cup holder. It also has a plastic bag to catch your scraps.

Your scrapping room looks great, nicely organized and clean. I should go clean mine and find the goodies I was supposed to hand out at last weekends crop.:scared:

You do realize that this now means you have to start scrapping!:teeth:

It looks great!:thumbsup2

very nice and organized. my corner of the world is in the basement or should i say dungeon. i really wished i had a spare room, but i don't. i'm trying to talk dh into an addition!!!!!!! it's not going over to well!!!
you guys would die if i ever posted a pic of it.

Thanks everyone! Keep in mind that it is ONLY clean and organized because those photos were taken right after I moved all my stuff in and put it where I wanted it. I haven't actually scrapped in there yet! I have a feeling it will look more like a tornado went through once that happens! :rotfl:

I used to have the basement dungeon also. Here I had some shelves and a table upstairs in our Bonus room, but I really wanted to be able to get to it if I am wheelchair bound for a few months which may happen. We bought this house with the intent of using the dining room for a school room because I homeschooled at the time. It was set up as that for 2 years but I stopped homeschooling and still have no dining room furnature so this was a good natural spot. I like that my kids can be in there with me, as long as they respect my space and my stuff.

And yes, Dyan--I have to start scrapping now!!! (when I find the time. . . )

Ladies, it pays to tidy up! Not only did I find the crop goodies, I found a bag of scrapper's vitamins, M & Ms!:thumbsup2

LOL, not as good as sanity in a box though!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

bring me my goodie, woman! :goodvibes

No kidding, but the sanity in a box is reserved for the heavy duty out of the norm stress. M & Ms can handle the day to day stress. :rotfl2:

I have a double set of goodies for you and Mom.:goodvibes
You'll get it Sunday, woman!

That's so nice to have a place all your own! Remember to keep it tidy, LOL!
