Here's another restaurant that we always put off for some reason.
But when we stay at Saratoga we tend to grab dinner if we're at Springs earlier for lunch so we can reheat later.
We do this often and love having a menagerie of things to nibble on at dinner that we don't have to go back out for.

So this was a great chance for us to finally try something, and we're glad we did.
These chicken fingers were very good we both said we would get these again and they were probably one of the best fingers on property that I can think of.
Looking forward to getting fingered by you again in January our bowling alley friends.

Love the uncircumcised hotdogs here...

My timing was impeccable. We got into the park 10 minutes before breakfast was about to cease,
so I mobile ordered it so I secured my breakfast spot. We walked over to pick it up, and as we ate breakfast
they switched to lunch. Of course we had to get the kids hot dog, which always hits the spot right after French toast.

This was the first time getting to try breakfast since it was fairly new. It wasn't bad, not sure if it was really worth
$8, but we got to try it.
It's more of a one and done, the lunch bowls and hot dogs are really where it's at.

We have eaten here numerous times in the past when checking out the resort. We do love to take the boat ride over from Saratoga to change things up. We never did try the gumbo, shrimp & grits or the jambalaya.
After seeing people boast about it, we had to try it for ourselves.

We decided to eat the shrimp & grits there, which was superb!
I was so shocked and blown away when we ordered it they cooked right in front of us.
You can't get any fresher than that or expect that in a quick serve.

The gumbo and jambalaya we took back for dinner to eat in the room later that night.
Even reheating it, it was exceptional. You can see because we went back another day to do the same thing for dinner that night.
We tried the beef and gravy. The beef was good but not as good as the gumbo. We also grabbed the praline banana bread and microwaved it, added a little butter. Holy crap, that was really good.

This will now be on a regular visit when we're at Saratoga because these reheat so well and it's easy to have them for hearty dinner later when you don't feel like going back out.

After having this for two meals I think I started to develop a Cajun accent "Ca c'est bon! "

After eating here last Sept and loving it, we came back since we were
staying our first 3 nights at Beach Club villas.
It was still decent, but not as impressive as last visit.
Good value for $30. The avocado toast is great, but everything else just meh.
Pastries were abysmal. Not worth the chew.
This is our last time here.

RIVIERA ( PRIMO PIATTO & BAR RIVA) 2 Visits











Always adore Primo Piatto & Bar Riva. We made 2 visits this trip.
When we stay here we do eat here a lot, since
it's that excellent. My wife adores the pasta, hence why you see it twice. Burgers are wonderful.
Soup is divine. Kids shrimp is best kids meal around. We can never not eat here, even if we are not
staying that trip.

Hot out, gotta have a cold treat. We split it and enjoyed.

Getting our money's worth. Did MK lounge 3 times and love it.
Great location. Theming is perfect. Such a bargain spending $84,000
on soda and get free DVC points. ........

they had a new slice flavor and we felt like trying it....

Very good, nut would have preferred a tad more crispiness on the shell,
still would enjoy again. Who wouldn't it's creamy sugar.


Always got to get this for the room to enjoy with a dinner, shmear lots O butter and jam.

KRINGLA BAKERY


microwaved this in the room, even better. Plenty of choc chips. not overly sweet either, even
though it seem like it would be. Every time we get it, it always slaps nicely.


also warmed up, and the apple flavor just shines more. Love it.

JALEO (SANGRIA HOUR)

Never had the happy hour deal before and we were eating around Springs so we shared it all, except
that vile frozen sangria. I hate booze, but the wife enjoyed it and she said she got a buzz from it.

Nothing more simple and sublime. Not sure what magic happens in the kitchen but abracadabra we
made it disappear in a jiffy.


Had these before and still love them. Big portion, small price. Nice!


These ALWAYS are wonderful. This time just cheaper so even better...



First time trying this, and very impressed. It's a like small fancy fish cake. Loved it and would get again.

If this happy hour sticks around permanently we are including it each trip. Such a great value and
exemplary food. Beautiful decor and wonderful service always.

HOMECOMIN' (TAKEOUT)







Always stellar mac & cheese, but the value for these 3 side dishes, SUCK!
The portion of veggies is a joke. Luckily we felt slightly less ripped off since
we had a coupon for a free slice of humming bird cake, but at full price
that's also a fleecing.
They did apply AP discount on top of the free slice so that was cool.

GIDEON'S (2 visits)






My wife likes the pistachio cookie and I don't so that was all hers.
The cakes here are usually very good. BUT the ratio of frosting to cake is
much to askew. It needs more cake thickness.
Choc crumb was just okay. Not a great balance with the cinnamon.
Choc PB is good, but the cake a tad dry and not enough of it, still like
it. Still better value and taste, than Cake Bake Shop.
Also the side PB cups are a must get for other treats and only $1.50.

It's so perfect and insanely perfect. The extra icing is.... the icing on the cake.
Must get at least once every trip, sometimes twice.

We were not expecting much, but pleasantly surprised. Really loved it.
The bottom had a slightly crisp chocolate underlay. Would get again, and again, and again.

Extremely good toffee, but portion is skimpy for the price.


The nice lady ringing us up saw my wife's birthday button and gave
her this choc pop it was filled with coconut and was awesome.
