After 7 Trips We're Finally Staying At the BC! May 2012 PTR: New TR Started!

Found this link on the May FB page and have caught up on your PTR. Glad I did, too! It was cool to find someone who not only shares my name, but also shares my love of the Cricut!:rotfl: Love both your countdown posters you've made. And I bet it's saved you from having to constantly answer the "how long til Disney World?" question.

The Beach Club is such a beautiful resort; I'm sure it'll be nice to be able to walk over to Teppan Edo for dinner and not have to worry about buses and cars. :thumbsup2

We haven't ridden Kali River rapids since 2003. DH got SO wet, he had to go to the restroom and wring out his clothes! HA!

You need to see Nemo on a visit! It's a really beautiful show. Don't forget FOTLK!

Popping over from the May Facebook group.

Wow, you have fit a lot into 5 pages!!:scared1: You are putting my PTR to shame. :lmao:

I love your countdown calendar and your Disney nights look like so much fun! We did some last year, but I haven't done any this time, yet. I am planning a Princess and the Frog one, since I haven't seen the movie yet.

A Pop one would be cool since we are staying there. Hmmm, you have my mind racing with ideas!

Thanks
Terri

Subbing!! Sounds like a great vacation!! I'll need you to teach me to do the TOC because I cannot figure it out to save my life :confused3

I followed you over from my PTR and am absolutely loving your report so far! Your Disney nights are awesome - the decorations, the eats, the games all come together perfectly. I wish I had half of your creativity!

I am so happy y'all finally get to stay at the Beach Club. I stayed there when I was 11 and still remember how spectacular it is. The kids are at the perfect age for Stormalong Bay, too.

Oh, and like Mike, DH and I love us some Zaxby's. Don't knock it! ;)

I love the Disney movie nights! Every trip I intend to do them, and I just never get around to getting them organized!

Another Cricut addict. I use mine ALL the time for everything!

I'm in agreement with you... we like AK, but I'd have to rank it as my least favorite park. But that is hard to admit when I love EE so much!

We have never been to the Boneyard. I didn't know about it when we took the girls back in '07... then on our next trip in 2010, I figured they were too old for that area (they were 7 and 9 on that trip).

My kids love water rides... especially my youngest. She'd go on nothing but water rides, if it was up to her! I prefer to not go on water rides, if I can help it... but most of the time I get talked into doing them. But it never fails... and I mean NEVER... when I do go on a water ride, I am always the one who gets SOAKED. I have the worst luck with those rides!

There's a ride Dollywood where you shoot water canons at people and they shoot them at you. You get SOAKED. The kids like to ride it over, and over, and over again! I'm usually the one who gets soaked the most too. We must attract water...:rotfl:

Hi Alicia! :welcome: Isn't the Cricut amazing! I got mine for Mother's Day last year and I'm so glad. It's saved me so much time!

I am so excited about the the BC!

We either rode it in 2009 or 2010. Lauren and I got drenched. It was like I stood in the shower with my clothes on. And I'm always the one who gets drenched so the kids are going to have to beg me to go on it.

I'm all for Nemo and FOTLK. Now I just need to convince Mike...

Hi Terri! :welcome: Thank you! The Disney nights are so much fun. A Pop one would be really fun! The resort ones we've done in the past have been some of our favorite ones!

:welcome: I'll be heading over to your PTR in a little bit! Okay, I'm one of those people that is oblivious to stuff and I'm sure I should know this but what is TOC? I feel silly for even having to ask. I'm sure I'll be laughing at myself once you tell me. :)

Hi Tiffany! :welcome: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed staying at the BC when you were younger. Hopefully my kiddos will remember it too!

For some reason there is no Zaxby's in Knoxville!! :scared1: So I don't get to eat it very often. The town where Mike works has it so he get's to go there for lunch sometimes. I think I've only had it once but I do remember it was good! :thumbsup2

Hi Chelley! :welcome: Thanks! I have to pre-plan the Disney nights or they would never happen. I'm always finding excuses to use the Cricut! :thumbsup2

Hi Alicia! I just wanted to post and let you know I have been lurking. Looks like we are going to miss you by one day. We will be getting to Orlando the day you are leaving. We're also staying at the Beach Club! Can't wait!:cool1:

Hi Leanne! Hope you all are well! :woohoo: Woohoo for the Beach Club! How long are you staying?

So after realizing that all our ADRs were only for four people when we needed them for five, I went online to Disney’s dining reservation site and got to work fixing them. It was surprisingly easy. Out of all the ADRs the one that gave me the most problem was...

Are you ready for it?...

T-Rex. Not Chef Mickey’s. Not Crystal Palace. T-Rex. The website kept saying that they only had one time available between 3 and 7 pm and that was 3 o’clock. I’m sorry but I’m not going to eat dinner at 3:00. So Mike called the actual restaurant last night and we’re back at our normal time 4:00. I don’t know if the reservation site only has so many openings for T-Rex but whatever, it got fixed.
So that’s the most productive thing I’ve done the last couple of days. Unfortunately the stomach bug has hit me (luckily the rest of the family seems to be okay) so I haven’t been up to doing much else. On the bright side it’s allowed me to read some PTRs and TRs and I’ve also lost 5 pounds!

Hopefully I’ll be able to get moving on some updates soon.

lol sorry TOC = Table of Contents and don't worry as a blonde, I'm usually the one who is about 10 steps behind people when it comes to understanding things ;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Yup, makes complete sense to me now! :lmao::lmao::lmao:I'll post on your PTR in a little while and try to explain how to do it.

We had the same issue for Rainforest Cafe. They only release some reservation times to Disney, I guess.

I would love to lose 5lbs, but I think I will pass on the stomach bug!

I am loving your Disney nights. I really want to do some this year too.

Hope you are feeling better soon!!

Yep... I know which one you're talking about, but I can't recall it's name. They have yet to talk me into going on that one, LOL!

Glad you got your ADRs worked out. And hope you're feeling better soon!

So glad you got your ADRs fixed, but I'm so sorry about the stomach virus. I missed two days of work this week with the same thing! I lost about 3 lbs, but of course, we went to Cheddars tonight to celebrate me feeling better, and the 3 lbs found me again!! I hope you feel better soon!!

Glad to hear the crisis was averted with the ADRs! I can never get T-rex even 180 days out, but most of the time the restaurant is empty if you aren't there during crazy hours and they always accept walk-ups. I always like having a few restaurants that accept mostly walk-ups just in case. Hope you feel better soon! The stomach bug is no fun! :goodvibes

I am so glad that you posted the link to your PTR on our facebook page!

We have a lot in common - my mom almost always goes to Disney with us; my husband is an engineer; my dad is from East Tennessee - from Elizabethton; we are leaving for Disney on the same day!; and we stayed at the Beach Club for the first time in Feb (when I had the giddy excitement of leaving the kiddos at home and going with just my DH!).

Can't wait to hear more of your plans - and I hope that maybe we'll be able to meet up!

Thanks! I do feel better. I had to ask Mike what the ride is called (no matter how many times he tells me I can't remember). It's called River Battle. Alex used to call it the shoot ride.:rotfl:

Sorry you had it too! I've been so tempted now that I'm feeling better to eat everything in the house! Hopefully I won't cave in.

We thought it was strange that Disney was saying there weren't any available times since evey time we've gone there it's been at 4:00 and it's not even close to being busy. Thank you! I feel so much better today!

Hi Kat! :welcome: I see you have a PTR! I'll be checking that out soon. Wow, we do have quite a bit iin common. Do you understand what your hubby does? I try, but I think after him trying to explain it for about 13 years I'm never going to get it!

Love your Disney Nights--they look like a blast!!! And it's something awesome for your kids to remember as they grow up, all that hard work is def worth it :)
Looks like you have a lot of fun planned for each day and glad your mom can go with you as well.
Look forward to reading more :goodvibes

YAY that you got your ADRs worked out. YUCK about the stomach virus! Hope everyone gets over it quickly!
