After 33 days....

Kelsie, first off...hugs to you!!! You are doing so extremely well...33 days without cheating!! That is awesome!!! So, you fell off and had a few bites here and there...Today is a new day and a bright new start for you!! You can do this and you will be successful because you have all of us here cheering you on!!! :):)

Don't give up!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!

I just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing responses. I always know I can count on you. I'm feeling really sorry for myself today. I have to make sure I don't use this as the excuse to quit, which is something I always do. :( .

The good news is that I've only had some cheese today (to go with my whine). Taking it a minute at a time right now.

(((hugs)))

YOU CAN DO IT KELSIE! Don't let yourself get too hungry and deprived or you could 'lose it' again. Take care of yourself. And check in with us again and let us know how your afternoon went.

We know that the program works Kelsie -- now we just have to work with the program.;)

So--you really are human, Kels? You have weaknesses just like me? You are a stress eater, just like me? We really have a lot in common, don't we?

You know the rules, though. You can't berate yourself, feel guilty, or beat yourself up for something that happened in the past. I don't care if it happened only five minutes ago. Whatever happened is history now. You can't change it. Don't punish yourself for it. You didn't run down a sweet little old lady crossing the street (no--really, I'm fine, you missed me ;) ) you stumbled on your weight loss path. You didn't even stub your toe hard, either. You didn't do anything that can't be made better.

In fact, you have already made everything better. You came here to WISH and you admitted that you had a tough weekend and that you ate things not allowed on your eating plan. That tells me that you have already learned from what happened over the weekend and that you are even more determined than you were 33 days ago to follow your new healthy lifestyle and to reach your goals.

I'll bet you have no idea how much reading this has helped me, do you? Well, you have helped me immensely. The next time I get upset (I had a really tough time in my cyber world this past weekend) and want to just say, "to heck with it", and eat off program foods, I'm going to remember the sad little smilie to the left of the subject line of this post. I'm going to remember the disappointment and pain that I read in your words here--and I am going to reconsider my thoughts. You have given me a new motivation, you have given me a new tool to deal with my own frustration and sadness (all of us have days like that).

So--don't laugh--but I'm going to thank you for posting this, I truly appreciate your courage. You are a wonderfully motivational presence here on WISH and I appreciate you very much.

Ooooops! I just checked my watch. It looks like your ten minutes of self pity are all used up. So, are you ready? Oh, come on! Oh alright: kiss, kiss, hug, hug, does that help any?

Alrighty then. Stand up straight. Smile....you can do better than that Kels...Smile! That's much better, thank you :) Take a deep cleansing breath. You'd better take another one, you seem pretty upset. Okay, now repeat after me, I'm a beatiful and special person and I can do this because I'm a WISHer.

Good job. You can do this, you know. We're going to help you.

{{{HUGS}}} my friend. Today is a new day. Go right back to the Alex challenge and get yourself back into ketosis. You haven't broken anything, you just put the teeniest little dent into your well thought out plan. You are back on track, today. I'm proud of you for coming here and sharing this with all of us. Hang in there. We're all right there behind you all you have to do is call, if you need help. We're always ready to help each other, here on WISH. You already knew that, though, didn't you? The WISH challenge was your wonderful idea. I love WISH and it's working just the way you intended it to work. It helps me get through each day and most nights :)

I am working extra hard to make some pixie dust for you, Kelsie....

And I agree with Airhead. This is life! Enjoy that taste and move on with the plan! You have a goal to shoot for!! We are behind you all of the way.

Now stop the whining and get back to being a loser! :p {{{ hugs }}}

Kelsie!!!
Everyone's reminding you that you stuck it out for 33 days!!! If you keep that up that means in little over one year you could stick to 11 periods of 33 days- 363 days of eating right- then have one day on that 34th day where you get your bad day over with- and wow I bet 363 days compared to 11 days of cheating will win over the lost pounds quicker than anything! It's the 363 days of cheating and 11 days of dieting that mess us up!

So put it in perspective!! You're doing great!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
And what's this load about 1/4 a cookie- that's not cheating that's TORTURE- I would have eaten the WHOLE thing and the dough that it was born from!!!
:)

Kelsie, we've ALL been there!!! As everyone else has said, as long as you get back on track, the WORST that can happen is that you'll take an extra day to reach your goal...is that so terrible? So please stop feeling so guilty; at this point, you haven't even hurt yourself, nevermind anyone else. A little extra vigilance, and a few extra minutes of exercise a day (above what you routinely do) and it will be as if it never happened! Don't we all wish that every mistake we make could be corrected so easily? ;)

Kelsie, I can't add any more, it's all been said. I especially liked airhead's comment and I, too, wondered about the
1/4 a cookie
! :teeth: No way that would have been me.

Time to bounce back

so I'm sending you a big bear hug.

*AHEM, just came over to turn myself in...

after a whopping FIVE days without "cheating" (har har), I spent the weekend with my "I have to keep eating to keep weight ON fiance'" (yes, I've told him the normal people of the world hate him ;) ). I ended up at Burger King at one point and Marble Slab Creamery at another point. I did fine at BK, but lost my mind at MSC and had a double chocolate with chocolate chips in a dark chocolate dipped cone......a BIG one. YES, I DID IT!!!!! I ATE THE WHOLE FREAKING THING!!!!!!!

Did I gain any of my 4.5 lbs back? No. :teeth: So, I'm fine with it and back on track today. I'm gonna have my 5 lb clippie sometime this week. :teeth:

and Kelsie? If your donut had been laying around, I would've put it on top of my ice cream and eaten it too, so THERE!!!! :p ;)

:teeth:

Kelsie, you can do it hon. You are our fearless WISH leader and champion. We need you!!!

You did AWESOME going 33 days and staying on plan. Pat yourself on the back and be proud!!! I know you can do it again. So what if you had a bad day. We all have been there. We've all beat ourselves up over it just like you are doing too. But its okay. This new way of eating is a lifestyle change. Just one day isn't going to blow it.

I hope whatever stressful things are going on in your life right now will calm down real soon. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Kelsie are you doing better now? I know exactly how you felt about the eating part. Once you get started it's like you want to just eat and eat more and more. It's an awful thing. I know i did the same thing this weekend. It' was my first fluff up of my new eating style. But today i did well and walked so i'm back on track and i was so worried i could'nt, would'nt do it. So are you okay now? I know you can snap back i just wanted to know if your okay. I sure hope so look how far you've come girl. Don't let this stressful life we live in suck you down pull yourselve back up and get on with it. ((((((Hugs))))))))
