After 1 week - Pin

You have got to kidding me! After 6 years & several trips & no Pins.
I set my husbands name & info up with WDW to "up the chances" of our family getting a pin. First, he gets an email asking which month he would prefer. Today, imagine, a pin for out requested month! Too bad it is a year ahead of our schedule!

UGHHHHHH! Note to self... repeat process next year!

I got my first pin last week. I recieved it in the mail the day after I got the FD. It was 35% off of WL. We are staying for 10 days and it was only good for 5 of them so I decided to stay with the free dining.

I registered the four other members of my family - tweeking, mixing it up, ordered DVDs, maps and recieved nothing other than the original ticket upgrade pin months ago.

glad registering your husbands name worked for you! but PINs do seem totally random. I get them frequently to my email which is registered on disney in my name and my address, but the email is addressed to my dad at his home address??? my dad hasn't been since 2000, and doesn't go on the website ever.
I get postcards delivered to my boyfriends address in my name (my thinking on that is our trip is 08, which was my first in over 10 years, we had our travel documents sent to his house)

we just booked using a pin code and they put both my bf and I under the same last name, so now i'm wondering if i'll start to get PIN codes with my first name and his last name. (which will be great if we get married!)

try everything since it seems to be randomly delivered.

I have been getting PINs since my trip to WDW in 2009. No plans to go again until 2013 but everytime I get a PIN I click through and price packages. Hoping that makes Disney think I am really interested and will continue to send me PINs.

I got 3 pins this year! Just got one last week even though I already had my trip booked! In the 3 years prior I only received 1. The only thing I did different this year was to order the maps but that was still after I had received 2 pins in the mail!

I ordered the maps and the only thing I got was maps! And an email about the maps!

Now I feel better & worse. I feel lucky to have gotten a pin at all. And worse b/c of all my fellow dis friends that have not gotten a pin.

I will say I was talking to a friend (the type that does no planning, doesn't check her mail/email excitedly looking for postcard/Disney Dest. email, & is not even really sure what a pin is all about) about my trip & she mentioned that they are traveling the same time as us next year. I told her about our pin & she says, "oh, I got that too!" REALLY! Come on! It took me years to get that pin!

It was like she said, "Oh, that million dollars, someone gave it to me. No Big Deal!"

I fought the urge to explain how wonderful it was she got a pin.

She is a HUGE Disney Visa Chick. For our cheer trip every year. Not sure if it is relevant?

I got tons of the 35% or 40% off pins before we could actually afford Disney. Now that we can afford it, my DH and I both got one, but it was only a parkhopper and water park upgrade one. Blah.

I did the same thing. We booked our last trip with my email using a PIN code and I have never gotten another one. We are heading back so I asked my husband to register for an account and within 5 days he got a PIN! Unfortunately, it is not for our dates and I called to ask and it is not available for our dates!! At least we got FD!

I told my Dh about the pin & we priced it for fun! We booked it! It was an amazing price! We are still planning the trip of all trips for next year at the BC with DDP. So we went cheaper with 2 rooms at the Pop, base tickets, & QSD for this trip! I am so excited! The entire package was cheaper than my condo at the beach.
Now I hope they follow it up next year!
