We love love love our accident policy. Can't tell you how nice it is to get those checks in the mail!
My husband does construction and has bad bones...he's very much in shape but the bones just won't stay in place, any little jar or jiggle and he's got to go to the chiro. Well chiro visits in our area cost $26, and we turn it in to AFLAC and get a check in the mail for $120. Definitely covers our premium for the year!
Our son broke his arm last year at school, received a check for almost $500.
Our daughter slammed her finger in the car door, received payment for original visit as well as follow-up to drain the fingernail.
Hubby just broke an onlay on his molar this past weekend, will be sending that in to AFLAC today!
I have found it's MUCH easier for me to fill out the forms, turn in to AFLAC myself and SKIP my agent, I can't really stand him to begin with and I just don't trust that he will get anything done for me. If I want something done right, I do it myself, so I get it done right!

(yes, just a bit anal about those kind of things) I can send the chiro bill along with my form as long as it has diagnosis codes on it, and skip having the dr fill out the accident part. Other times, like the dentist, they have to give me a statement on letterhead as to what happened...or fill out the forms. Sometimes you can use the hospital medical records (the transcribed ones) to fax along with the form. If there's ever a question as to what happened, I call AFLAC directly, their agents are friendly and helpful. I've found lots of Dr's charge you to fill out paperwork but will provide a statement as to what happened for free.
I know my friend had short term disability, had 2 pregnancies and no problems collecting the check for that. Another gal had a hysto and no problems there.
Also, they do provide a $60 benefit I believe for wellness per year, I use mine every year for my pap, just because it's usually the same time every year. But can also qualify for eye dr visits, dental visits, etc. Anything "wellness", physicals, etc.
