Aerosol Cans

Can you pack an aerosol can in your checked luggage. DD uses this hairspray (she has curly frizzy hair) that is not available in a pump bottle. Pobably not, but just checking. thanks!!

I don't know if you can , but we did on our last trip. I did read on the airline's website and never found anything that said we couldn't. A word of warning though....make sure the top is snapped on tight. Ours was packed inside a pocket of our garment bag and the lid came off. Somehow or another the button got pushed down and it sprayed the entire can of hairspray out, soaking every piece of clothing inside. I never thought hairspray was hard to get out, but by the time we got the luggage to the room it had all dried and the spots were rock hard. I tried and tried to rinse the spots out, but never did. It took 2 washings at home to finally clean them up! Next time the hairspray goes in the luggage, in a plastic bag with the lid taped on!

Aerosol cans are OK.

We pack anything that may leak in Ziplock bags and pack extra empties for wet stuff on the way home. You can also pack your shoes in them to keep them from scuffing.

Yes, you can pack the hairspray. The cargo hold is pressurized the same as the cabin. If not, animals would die, so, your hairspray is fine.

When in doubt pack it in your checked luggage. On our flight home last month, I sat next to a lady who had some extremely expensive makeup confiscated at the gate. Needless to say she was very upset about it. She complained to the flight attendant who came back right before departure and told her that the guards claimed that there was alchohol in it and it was flammable. Sounded very weird and strange to me. Flamable makeup? Anyway, she told me it was some expensive facial creme. Sounds to me that the guards may have wanted it, but you never know.
