aerosol cans /hairspray allowed in checked bags?

Anyone know if I'm allowed to pack my aerosol hairspray can in my bag? I don't want any problems....

You are allowed..... I have never had any problems...

EDIT: I just re-read your OP.... I have always brought mine in my carry on because I wasn't sure if can would get funny being in the cargo hold.....

I have always traveled with my hairspray can and aerosol deoderant in my checked baggage. Never brought it in a carry on as I was afraid that it would not be allowed due to pressure and all. No problems ever with traveling with them...have fun...

Just be careful how you pack it however. My DM traveled with us once with her hairspray in her checked luggage. Some how the cap got dislodged. Whether due to air pressure or if something pressed down on the button--the whole can expelled in her suitcase! Clothes were a mess.

I only carry small travel sizes and pack inside a makeup case.

Don't just remember the lid, TAPE the lid on. I had this happen with an entire can of mousse where even though it had a snug fitting cap, it still got knocked off somehow and the button pushed to where the entire can emptied
out into the suitcase. Luckily it was inside a smaller bag with shampoos and other bottles that could be easily washed off. It was a REALLY good smelling mousse and to this day you can still smell it when you open the bag.
