Anyone have one or know of someone that does? After debating with myself over and over again, I bought one. Now I'm second guessing the $150 I spent wondering if I should have waited. It seems like a really cool concept. We have 2 cats ... I'm wondering if they'll eat everything as it grows.

Also, isn't this the same sort of concept they use in The Land @ Epcot??

We have one, it was DH's Christmas present. He planted lettuce in late December and it started sprouting in about 36 hours - really amazing! We've had a great time watching things grow and have been eating the lettuce for a couple of weeks. Yeah it's expensive but we're having fun with it. DH is big into gardening so I thought this was something he'd enjoy and never spend the money for himself. Think in another month or so he'll switch to using it to start plants from seed for his garden and experiment with that.

I believe this is the same general concept used in Epcot. We ran out of time and didn't get to take the Behind the Seeds Tour but it's on the list for next time....

I bought this for my dad 2 Christmases ago. He LOVES it. In fact, this Christmas he got more kits and a book and supplies to use his own seeds and grow what ever he wants. It is great! If you like vegtables, you really can't go wrong with this product. Fresh tomatoes, etc in the middle of winter .

And they have a cat but she doesn't bother the plants. They leave the planter on the dining room table and she just ignores it.

Oh, and yes, it is the same concept that Epcot uses.

To tell you the truth, my son and I are really jealous of my dad. We want one too

I've had one for about a year. The herbs grew great but I had trouble with the lettuce. They said it was probably too hot in the kitchen. I have 3 cats and ne of them liked to eat the lettuce. I just planted tomatoes on Monday and they haven't sprouted yet (4-7 days). I wanted the strawberries but they said they were changing their farm and would have them available after they had been thoroughly tested. Their CS is great.

I have one and love it. It is nice to be able to cut fresh herbs when I am cooking. I have so many herbs that I take some into the office each week. For some reason I can't get the cilantro to grow though and this is my 2nd herb garden.
