Aerobed for Kids...anyone use one?

You could probably cram it in there, but it would be a tight fit.

A Readybed is smaller (and cheaper -- got mine for $25). My Ds often sleeps in one when we travel.

I couldn't take the readybed..I loved it..thought it was cute...but couldn't take all of that squeeking...it's was like they were sleeping on a raft...squeek...squeek...sqqquueeeekkkk. feel my pain...:rotfl:

We have 4 of the Pooh toddler readybeds and they come with a battery operated pump. The pump does the big job then DH blows up the last bit. My kidlets used them for several family funerals that were way out of town and I loved how compactly they packed. Each had its own bag that held extra batteries, the cover and attached blanket, a small travel pillow that we bought and the pump.

The toddler bed has the bolsters along the sides which really didn't keep the kids from rolling around. We would come out in the morning to find one kid across the room under a table, but that is better than falling off a standard bed.

We don't know if we will still be able to use the readybeds for our next trip when the kids are 4 since they are getting pretty tall for them. But I will probably invest in the larger sized version because we have been pleased with how these work.

Hey there! I remember you from my potty training thread! How are you?

I wasn't aware that they had a toddler specific ready bed. Can you let me know where you found yours? Thanks so much! :goodvibes

For me it's like the lesser of two evils.

Squeaky, squeaky

or

DS kicking me in various parts of my body while I try to sleep. :lmao:

We are good. Forget pottytraining, now we are battling the poop wars! I thought we had moved beyond the removal of pants during naptime, but I must have been mistaken.

I pm'd you with details for the Readybed.

I never noticed squeaking on the Readybed. But that might be from exhaustion. . .

Thanks for the good review. Where did you end up putting it in your All Stars room?:)[/QUOTE said:
we put it at the end of the bed closest to the bathroom. it fit perfect between the wall and the tv cabinert

Ah the poop wars. I know them well. It is still a struggle to get DS to poop on the potty, and I have tried everything. I'm crossing my fingers he'll do it before preschool in the fall, otherwise, he's not going. Ah well, only time will tell. Thank god for summer, huh?

Just thought I'd toss in that I've never noticed any squeaking with the Aerobed for Kids. Maybe because it's sort of "flocked" rather than smooth plastic?

And yes, we're looking forward to the food court (we're doing the 'free' dining, so the higher prices there aren't a worry for us!) and *very* much looking forward to the pool!

I want to thank everyone who spent the time and effort to contribute to this thread. That being said, this morning, I joined a certain group of DISboarders I like to refer to as resort switchers...:rotfl2:

And I booked the Wilderness Lodge, Standard View, with free dining. I am over the moon excited about having queen size beds to separate me and my little peanut. Now regardless of who he sleeps with, it won't be so bad, and so much easier for DH and I to share a bed as well.

Now, I certainly don't recommend my method for everyone. It's definitely costing more than a aerobed for kids would have :lmao: but in my humble opinoin, worth every penny.

So thank you all again so much for contributing, and if this helped anyone else as well, all for the better!

Sincerely, TK:goodvibes

Well, that is one way to solve the issue!!! Congratulations and enjoy your stay!!!:cool1:

Oooh! I'm jealous (but *thrilled* for you!) - I lurve the WL!

I had actually kinda pondered a similar switch - moving us to the Poly for monorail accessibility reasons - but, it's now booked at our time during 'free' dining. C'est la vie. We'll survive! We managed at Carribean Beach last year, shoving a crib in the room, at this same time last year - I'll struggle through this too for the Magic! :lmao:

Thanks so much! I am beyond excited. We always do "budget" style trips, and never splurge. I am really looking forward to this.:goodvibes

Just wanted to say that I am so jealous! We always stay at ASMovies - the kids love the decor there and would be devastated if we stayed anywhere else. My only wish is that we had queen sized beds...the double is so uncomfortable for hubby and me. We tried sleeping one adult and one child each in a bed, but neither of the boys will sleep in the bed with hubby because he snores SO loud - it wakes them and they get scared.

some day ...
