AE/Stitch question

All I have heard is that Stitch (I can't remember what it is going to be called) is scheduled to be ready in Fall 2004. Does anyone have any more info/guesses as to when in the Fall? We are traveling in October & I just wonder if it will be ready by then.

I have a friend who's been working on it with WDI, and if I'm not mistaken, they're shooting for a September opening, if all remains on schedule!

Not sure about an exact date on the opening.

2004 - Stitch’s Great Escape - (6/2/04) Screamscape has heard an interesting rumor about a particular scene for the new Stitch’s Great Escape attraction. The story claims that they were filming a live action segment in Tomorrowland overnight and in the early morning on the Astro Orbiter. Seems they will CG Stitch into the scene showing him break out of the building, climb the Astro Orbiter and jump onto a rocket frightening a pair of riders. The story also says that they shot a day and a night version of this so the video image will match the conditions outside. (I’m not sure what version they show if your seeking shelter in the building during one of Florida’s torrential rain storms.)
(5/31/04) Disney has released this teaser photo showing off one of the Stitch figures being programmed for the new attraction.
(5/12/04) Screamscape has heard a few rumored technical facts about the new Stitch attraction. They claim that Stitch will stand 39 inches tall, but will have 40 separate animated functions and 350 individual components. The claim that this may be one of the most complex Animatronic figures that Imagineering has ever created. The attraction will also feature the return other characters from the film including: the Galactic Federation’s Grand Councilwoman, Captain Gantu, Agent Pleakley and Dr. Jukeba. We’ve also heard rumors that it will feature all new smell effects and will be added to the FastPass network.
