We liked our Aruba section. It was just a quick walk across the bridges to the food court. Jamaica would be about the same distance. We didn't want to pay for a preferred location, so we requested Aruba or Jamaica. CBR is a very large resort but we loved it. We are planning on staying there again after the new pool is completed.
You can check out my CBR pictures from 2006 below.
Have a great trip!

Martinique #25 was an incredible location!! we were steps from OPR, the main pool (which is closed now until mid-sept), a quiet pool, laundry facilities, the bus stop (never used this), the beach, and a playground. we LOVED this spot! AND we could even see fireworks from our beach at night (illuminations??)

we had two toddlers, and never needed to lug our stroller around the resort.
:thumbsup2

Martinique building 25 is a great location. So great, in fact, that Disney charges more to make a reservation for it.

CBR has 6 buildings called "preferred location," meaning they are the 6 buildings closest to Old Port Royale. They cost an extra $16-$25 per night (depending on season). These are all 3 buildings in Trinidad North (31-32-33) and 3 of the 6 buildings in Martinique (24-25-26).

I like Trinidad South. Very quiet, near a pool (not the main one) and has a hammock with a little patch of wildernessy stuff nearby.

People who ride the bus hate Trinidad South, though, because it is a long walk (or a bus trip) to the main building.

If you don't want to pay preferred, I would suggest Aruba 51 or Jamaica 45. Both are close to the bridge to OPR and not too far from the quiet pools and bus stop.

I would suggest that if you get Aruba 51, cut through Jamaica and use their bus stop, it is a little closer.

CBR is our family's favorite moderate resort! We absolutely love the lush tropical feel while dancing our way to the caribbean music through the island to OPR! Our favorite island is Aruba...bldg 51 or 52 is great. Jamaica 45 would be a great location as well since it basically sits in front of the bridge to OPR. We love the layout of this resort. Everything is spread out so you don't feel as if you're in the middle of a mob. The main pool is currently going under a rehab and from the sounds of the plans it's going to be awesome! The food court is great with many different selections to choose from. There are two shopping areas...one more beach/island theme and the other with the typical souvenirs. We always found the quiet pool to be just that...quiet. We normally had the quiet pool to ourselves. Lay back and enjoy the hammocks and you may catch the higher up fireworks of Illuminations. Be sure to walk around the resort and really soak up the atmosphere! It's so nice to feel as if you're on a vacation within your vacation!

We stayed at CBR last May with our 4 yr old and 3 yr old. We were in Jamaica 45. We loved it. Short walk to everything, the bus stop was out back. When you walk they play island music throughout the resort. We are staying at the CSR this yr because the CBR's pool is closed, otherwise I would go back again and stay in Jamaica 45! Enjoy

Ditto... we requested and got Martinique 25. A short walk to the pool and food court and very convenient to the bus stop.
