Hi all,

I am currently beginning to plan out Disney trip for next year so when the reservations open up I can go ahead and book everything. I am trying To figure out if it is best to book breakfast for in the parks or in the hotel we are staying in (POR) rather than booking various locations outside the parks as getting to the locations will have to be with various bus stops (unless we use the Minnie service if available from our hotel by then).

For example, if I was to book breakfast in chef Mickey in contemporary I would have to first travel to either MK or DS and then change bus to go to the contemporary?

Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated.

(Travelling as a family 2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 4)

If there is a specific resort breakfast you really want, but don't think you can get to, you can use this tool to see all available options: http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/aspx/twiz.aspx

If you book at the Contemporary, for instance, you could easily bus to MK then walk to the Contemporary.

Just keep in mind that if your breakfast is super early, some of these may not be applicable.

I would try to get some PPO breakfast in the Parks, like Garden Grill, Crystal Palace or Akershus. So you get breakfast, early entry and maybe one or two rides at headliners like frozen or 7dwarfs before crowd start. I really love this to start a day.

Ahhh! There's a link I haven't seen and need to save. I can usually figure out how to get around in the World, but really need to investigate the most efficient route since we aren't staying Deluxe this time.

I haven't tried it myself yet. But could you Uber to breakfast?

Or what we did was save our Resort breakfasts for our non-Park days. We did Cape May on our non-park rest day in the middle of the trip. And we did 1900 Park Faire on our last morning before we left to drive home.

We also did Ohana early before park time on an MK day.

We were staying at AoA.

I would only book resort breakfasts if you will definitely use the Minnie Vans or uber. We no longer do resort-to-resort travel using Disney transportation as it once took almost 2 hours just to get from BC to CR for a dinner reservation. If you are planning to rope drop on your park days, you may also want to consider how much time you really want to devote to breakfast.

I definitely think using non-Disney transportation is the way to go. We drive everywhere, except MK (at times).

However...what the heck happened when you were trying to get from BC to CR? Were the buses totally messed up that day? I can't think of a scenario where it should take more than an hour, tops, to do that trip (bus from BC to MK, walk from MK to CR).

We've eaten at several Breakfast location while staying at POR and my family are not early risers so I book one of the latest breakfast time available and we just use Disney Transportation to get there. We don't go at a busy time of the year and I plan an hour to get to restaurant using Disney Transportation, we've never rushed. You could also book Breakfast at a restaurant inside the park you are going to that morning and it could save you some time.

Yes! Sometimes I think I know the transportation options for each resort, but every once in a while this site surprises me.
