Advise on Harbor Blvd. Hotels

Hello,

My name is Robert and I really want to take my sister to Disneyland this summer. I was hoping some of you can help my decision of where to stay. I'm not positive that the Disney-owned hotels are in my budget, so I'm looking at the hotels that are located along Harbor Blvd, between Ball and Katella only so we can walk to Disneyland and not worry about shuttles.

Based on my research so far, I've narrowed my search down to the Anaheim Fairfield Inn by Marriott and Anaheim Camelot Inn/Suites.

I would like to know things like: upkeep, nighttime security, competence of staff, quality of the continental breakfast (Camelot only), pool, and anything else I should know before booking. I also would like to know how easy it will/could be to get a room facing the Disney parks, even at a higher room rate.

If there is a better hotel that the two I've narrowed it down to, please tell me.

If this has been already discussed recently, feel free to just direct me to the appropriate thread.

If you haven't already considered this, the Fairfield will give you Marriott reward points and allow you to use points you may already have for free nights (assuming you have enough points saved).
As for other hotels on Harbor, have you looked at the Candy Cane Inn? This hotel gets great reviews from many happy, returning customers. It is clean, provides a free continental breakfast, has a private shuttle (on time, very reliable), and great customer service. If the budget allows, look at the Premium rooms. CCI gives discounts, too (e.g. AAA, AP, etc.).

Of those two I would choose the Fairfield Inn.

Why did you narrow it down to those 2? There are many others on Harbor that are quite safe, clean, have a great staff and offer breakfasts. I haven't stayed at the two you have mentioned but have stayed at many others.

Fairfield Inn is the best on Harbor followed by Hojo.
