Advice???

Currently have a 1 bedrrom rented thru DVC member at WLV for 1 night. Since renting, more family members have decided to go and also everyone wants to go a day early. WLV is packed the first night but there is avaiblity at the WL. My question is can you use points to stay at the WL and how many points are needed per room/night. Going mid -Dec mid week.

No you can't use points at the WL, the BC or the BWI.

Maybe it's insensitive of me, but I'm thinking that if more family have decided to go and they've decided to arrive early, then they can take some responsibility and help pay cash for rooms at WL. Then you'd be in different wings of the same building, which is not unreasonable.
