A classmate of mine was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Cancerous or not, I don't know. They've been in my classes since the 7th grade, but we're not friends. Different cliques and the like.
I really would like to approach this person to let them know that my thoughts and prayers are with them, but also to let them know if they ever need to talk, I'm here. I know how scary it can be to find out you have a tumor, but also to be out of school and constantly in hospitals.
How would you do this? I just don't want it to be awkward, and then have this person turn around and say 'Oh,so-and-so talked to me and said XYZ,can you believe that? How rude' or something of the like.
If you were in their position, would you be offended?
