so, I have a hodgepodge of reservations for our 6 nt stay in OCT. I have booked:

3 nts at Poly w/cash
2nts at BWI CL w/Amex points
1 nt at BWI CL w/Chase points

5 day park hopper w/Chase points

My questions are, how will this affect my ability for ADR’s and CL extra FP with 3 different ressie’s For 6 nights? Also, does anyone have experience with having two reservations at the same resort? What are the chances that we can stay in the same room throughout our stay at BWI, even though we have two different reservations? Trying to save $ but afraid I might be creating more trouble than its worth. Thank you so much!

ADRs have nothing to do with your room reservations. Heck, anyone can book an ADR with or without a room reservation. With your CL extra FPs, I assume each one goes with the reservation it's tied to. So, those extra FPs, would be valid for however long it says when you booked it with that CL reservation.

As for staying in the same room at BWI, is totally on whether the room assigner can do it. Sometimes you can be in the same room, sometimes not. Depends mostly on how busy and full the hotel is. The one and only time I wanted to do it, we were allowed to stay in the same room, though had to check out then check in again.

Lots of people do multiple hotel changes. As to whether it is a hassle to you, YMMV. For me, nope.

And a yahoo for getting so much on points!

Thank you. Just to clarify, That won’t affect my ability to book the extra FP’s because I have 3 CL rooms booked even though they are split between two reservations, correct?

I don't think so. As I assume you book in your MDE. You can always send an email to the CL and ask.

We did this at CBR one year. We had to book one night room only at the start of our trip before our package began the next day. They told us when we arrived that we would be staying in the same room, and the next morning I was able to just call and they formally checked me in for the package portion of my stay. So, they should be able to tell you at check-in at BWI whether you'll be able to stay in the same room. I'd call and have that noted as a request on your reservation. And make sure your reservations are linked.

As for your ADRs, PP is correct in that anyone can book ADRs at 180 days out. However, I think the +10 benefit may be impacted since you have separate stays and not one continuous stay. I'm not sure if the system recognizes that. So in other words, on 180 days out from your arrival, you can book ADRs for the Poly stay, 180 days out from the second leg you can do that portion, and 180 days out from your third leg you can do that portion. Not sure if maybe phone agents can bypass that - hopefully someone can confirm!

You should be able to book the extra CL fast passes for he days that you are staying CL. You won’t be able to use them the days you are at the Poly.

We had 2 reservations at the same resort booked on DVC points rented from 2 separate members, 1 night followed by 10 nights. If I remember correctly I could only make ADRs for our 1st stay (so the first night and day after) 180 days out and the rest of the trip opened up the next day (the 180+10).

Can’t help you with the CL questions, but we were able to stay in the same room over our 2 reservations. We had it noted with our room requests.

You won't be able to book the extra FP's because you need a 3 night minimum at one resort. At least that's what DSS informed my Mom when they were going to do a split like you described.

So I just got off the phone with DSS. She said I would be able to book them because I have a 3 nt stay, even though it’s broken into two different reservations.

But she then said you only need a minimum of TWO nights in CL to book the extra FP’s. Yes, that’s right...two nights. I even asked if she was sure about that and made her repeat it. And she was emphatic. I still believe she was wrong.

Thanks for sharing this. I'll admit my Mom called when this first rolled out. So maybe things have changed and/or the DSS CMs are more up to speed.

You may run into a problem booking ADRs.
In general ADRs are available 180 +10 for a single resort stay. Since you are breaking it up into 2 stays, you may not be able to book the ADRs for the last 3 days until that 180 days starts. Being CL may change that, not sure. I would call to clarify.
When you check in at BW, let them know you have a second reservation and you should be able to stay in the same room. You might also call and see if they can combine the reservations since it is the same resort and level, just a different payment.
