Hi, this will be my first attending MVMCP with my family. We have park hopper tickets. This is my itinerary so far. Please help me figure out how to fill in the gaps.
Day 1- Arrival 2:15pm - Beaches and Cream for lunch- EPCOT in the evening and La Hacienda
Day 2- MK all day (Not sure where to eat dinner) We enjoyed Liberty Tree Tavern last time- not sure if we should do repeat or try someplace new in MK. Suggestions?
Day 3- AK Morning - Boma for lunch and then Fantasmic Dining at Mama Melrose
Day 4- Not sure where to visit in the morning and then we have MVMCP. From what I learned is that you can enter the park at 4pm. Thoughts on what park to go to in the morning? Should sure where to eat dinner either.
Day 5- HS in the morning - Sci-Fi for lunch and then park hop to EPCOT and try for Space 220

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!

On a party day (MVMCP or MNSSHP) you can enter MK at 4pm even though the party doesn't start until 7pm. What we usually do is take a "down" morning, relax but the pool, etc. We then book a "big lunch" at a MK resort restaurant (GF Cafe, Steakhouse 71, Kona Cafe) and go over to MK after we eat to do the 4pm entry for the party. You can still make ride reservations (whatever they call them now... I miss FastPass) for the first few hours you are there, before the party starts. We never waste party time with a sit-down meal; our big meal of the day is that late lunch, then we do something QS or just snack throughout the party.

ETA: Your plans would be too much food for my family. We usually do easy-breakfast in the room while we are dressing, then one TS and one QS (or just snacks) during the day. On day 1, what time is your ADR at Beaches&Cream? Will you be there in time if your flight (assuming you are flying) is delayed?
Day 2: If you really want a break, and seeing as you have more MK time during MVMCP, maybe head over to one of the resort hotels if you want a TS dinner, then back to MK for fireworks?
Day 3: Once again, a lot of food and a lot of time spent in restaurants. Maybe a QS lunch in AK? The food at Satuli Canteen is very good (I think that's the name of the place near FoP) or if you want a sit-down, try Yak and Yeti; if nothing else, it'll save you the time it'd take to schlep over to AKL for lunch at Boma (and don't get me wrong, we LOVE Boma- I'd actually cancel the Fantasmic dinner package, have lunch in AK, dinner at Boma, and then just go see Fantasmic as we've never had trouble getting decent seats).
Day 5: Have you been to SciFi? We weren't impressed with the food, but it was relaxing. If you can't get into Space 220, there are lots of good QS options in World Showcase.

I agree with the above sentiment to cancel the Fantasmic dining package. I didn't look at Mama Melrose specifically for my upcoming October trip, but I did look at 3 other restaurants and all the times for dinner with the package were very early... like 5pm or earlier. Might be too much food close together if you are doing Boma. You could try for Boma around 10:30am... still get the AK rope drop benefits then a break in a/c. I'm also a huge fan of Boma for breakfast.

Wow, your post really got me rethinking my plans (in a good way) lol! Thank you! You're right- too many TS which will take longer than expected. I'm going to scratch Beaches & Cream and try a QS in Epcot for day 1. If we cancel Fantasmic dining package- do you know what time I'd have to get on the line to get a decent seat? The last time I went I had the dining package and there was an enormous line.

YESSS , why are the times so early this year?? Last year I was able to get a 6:25pm fantasmic dining package and this year the latest times I'm seeing is 4:55pm. Very weird. I definitely want to try Boma because I keep hearing such great things, but I'm still unsure as to what to do. Thank you for your suggestions too:)

For Magic Kingdom, consider eating at the Diamond Horseshoe. Same menu/kitchen as Liberty Tree but it’s really pretty around the holidays and not someplace you can usually eat. Or leave the park and eat at a monorail resort. We love Steakhouse51 and. California Grill at the. Contemporary; or Citricos or the Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian.

For Epcot consider eating in Germany at Biergarten. It’s also really pretty for the holidays.

I wouldn’t do another park the day of MVMCP. Have a relaxing morning. Sleep in. Get a nice breakfast/lunch. This would be a good day to eat at and wander around Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is otherwise really out of the way, before heading to MVMCP.

Have fun!
