Hi there,

We just can't narrow down where to stay for our 15 day WDW wedding/HM!!

We've always done around 10 day WDW trips in the past with split-stays. We love split stays because it feels like we are on 2 separate vacations! We've never found split stays to be a hassle, as long as we move during a day where our schedule is flexible.

Is it a real hassle to do a triple stay???
This is what we want to do:

-5 days at WL (lake view OR rent DVC points if VWL has a lake view)
-5 days at POR (mansions)
-5 days at AKL (studio, rent DVC points)

What do you think??

We did a triple stay in January. It was great. We had no issues with moving and that was a group of 7 with three kids. Our triple stay was BC water view/Poly conc. lagoon view/GF conc MK view. It was a great trip and now I don't think I'll be able to limit myself to just one hotel again. I say go for it!:thumbsup2

Great-thanks!! Now I just need to convince DF-he is thinking that 3 resorts would be too hectic to manage.

We did a quadrupal (?) stay.

2 nights at POP
6 nights Contemporary
4 at beach club
and 1 at GF

Really was no problem.

whenever we stay more than a week we like to split the stay.

Sounds like a fun trip!! :yay:
and did you find that the moving impeded on your day at all? Were you still able to spend full days at parks and stuff?

I think that sounds great! Went we last went we did :
3 nights hard rock hotel universal
3 nights animal kingdom lodge
4 nights beach club
4 nights wilderness lodge
and we loved it because we got to experience all the different places!

We are going this september for our wedding and honeymoon and we are staying at :
5 nights royal pacific at universal
3 nights wilderness lodge
6 nights beach club

Personally, I'd stay at Riverside first. That's a moderate and the other two are deluxes. I like to go up in the accommodations.

Great point and we've been back and forth about this several times! When we usually do split-stays, we always start off with a moderate and then move to deluxe. HOWEVER, we are starting off this trip with our WDW wedding & we really want to stay at the WL for those days  We've never stayed at POR before, so it will be new and exciting for us to do during the middle of our trip and then try our old favorite AKL for the last part of our trip.

We *think* we'll be ok with this set up. Location isn't very important to us. We are excited about the WL boat ride to MK, but we are just as excited about the POR boat transport to DTD. Our biggest importance in a WDW resort is theming.

When we were at POP we stayed as late as possible in parks (AK & MGM) and then did pool at night. Once we got to CR we did mornings at parks and pool in the afternoon and then pack to park at night. That is our usual M.O. when at a deluxe.
For the day we went to BC from the CR we found it good to make the last night at the CR a late night. Then we could sleep a bit and relax as we packed up and went over to the BC. Once at the BC we enjoyed the Boardwalk, the pool and World Showcase for our first day there.

Our last night at the GF was nice because it was a 'honeymoon' night for a vow renewal we had that week. I kept the room at the BC and left grandma with the kids and mrs.mike and I had a wonderful relaxing night at the GF.
