DD has no spring/summer clothes for our upcoming trip and I need to shop! I want to make sure to get what we actually need because I'm afraid anything I buy for this trip will be too small come summer. I'm looking at knit sets, t-shirts with capris and shorts. Will it be hot in March - for sleevless sun dresses? Does it get cool again in the evening? Or does it just depend on the day?

Any advice is appreciated. Our most recent trips have been Feb. and Nov., so I'm not sure what to expect in late March. Thanks in advance!

Wanted to offer this insight. My husband and I went to Disney World 10 years ago on our honeymoon (early April) and all we took were shorts, short sleeved shirts and 1 lightweight jacket each. It rained everyday that we were there (from light sprinkle to total downpour). We were freezing. Good thing our hotel was right next to a strip mall - we each had to buy a pair of windpants. We kept them in the backpack and if we got cold we slipped them on over our shorts.

Just a thought!

Anything could go. I went there in March twice with t-shirts, shorts and a light jacket. Once were fine and the other time I wore the turtleneck, jeans and sweatshirt I went down in for the entire week. I would just buy the t-shirts a little bigger and make sure the shorts/capris have the adjustable waist.

We went last year at Easter and the stuf we bought for Disney fit all summer long and actually most, if not all will still fit this Easter and probably into the summer. I guess my kids aren't fast growers?

We were there early April, 2005. It was quite warm during the day, definitely chilly at night. How about sleeveless sundresses, leggings underneath, and a zip up hoodie on top? You could take off the leggings and sweatshirt when not needed, and put them back on when the sun goes down. Kohls usually has lots of cute sundresses.

We went down the first week of April in 2005...shorts and t-shirts during the heat of the day, but jackets in the mornings.

We have stores already putting out their spring stuff. I would go with something like WalMart (you can get tops and shorts for $2.88/each) where you can get cheap "ruinable" clothing. Also, the cheap stuff tends to be the knits with the elastic waistbands that adjust with your kids. We also bought several outfits once wa got there.

Thanks for the replies everyone - I'll start working on outfits that I can layer. I guess I was hoping you guys would say it was going to be hot, lol!

We're going in March too (and we did last year as well). I've been buying by dd2 and dd4 spring clothes for the trip and what I've bought a lot of are those "convertible capris". I have found them at Target and at Kohls. They can either be full length pants or can be rolled up to capri length and tied or snapped into that length. I've been buying these with matching short sleeve shirts. I think this will work for most days with a jacket/sweatshirt when it is cool (they can roll the pants down to full-length) and just short sleeves/capris when it is warmer. To be safe, I'm also tossing in a couple of pairs of shorts and a few long sleeve shirts....for extreme situations.

Last March it was nice and warm....even hot on some days...but not miserably hot. We did wear shorts most of the time...so I'll check the forcast closer to the time we leave.

Layering outfits would be great...bring along a denim jacket and a few long sleeve tees and you should do great!

We went last March (first week) and the weather was perfect (I thought). Cool in the mornings and evenings but great (mid-upper 70's) during the day. We wore shorts & t-shirts the whole time, with a light jacket or sweatshirt at night. My daughter did wear a very light jacket most days but she's always on the cold side. She wore a little dress one night to dinner and was fine with bare legs, but you could try these: http://www.babylegs.net/
They're little baby legwarmers and about the cutest things you ever did see! You can order directly from that site or search and others may have them a bit cheaper. They don't take up much room, so you could just throw them in your bag and get them out if she wants them. My baby and 3 yr old both wear them.

I think a couple of weeks ago (marathon weekend) was really hot, so it could definitely be hot in March. Have fun!
