Hi All!

My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Pop Century for the first time. We're not sure how we feel about staying at a value resort as we have never done so before (Hope this didn't sound snobbish, but I have heard about hearing toilets flushing during the night and that doesn't exactly sound appealing). We absolutely love the POR. I've heard the rooms are significantly smaller, but we requested a king size bed as I have heard that this alleviates some of the space issues. Can you please give me some honest opinions about this resort as a whole as well? Also, is it noisy kid-wise compared to moderate resorts? (I love kids, but the POR was so quiet and it was really nice and relaxing). Anyway, this is all much appreciated! Thanks! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

My boyfriend and I stayed at Pop 2/10-2/14 and had a great trip. We were in the 50's section, in the Lady building, facing away from the pool. We were on the 4th floor, and noise was not a problem. The only time I heard a toilet flush was when I was in our bathroom. One night a family that was a few rooms down from us passed our room as we were falling asleep and the kids were a little bit loud, but that is something that could happen anywhere. Maybe you could request a 4th floor room and ask not to be facing the pool? We had a king bed and had enough space, I really don't feel like we needed anymore since we pretty much only slept there. Hope this helps!

Thanks! How far was the 50's section from everything? Like the pool, lobby, food court and bus stations? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

DH and I adored POP when we were there, but found it quite noisy--not because of flushing toilets, but because of yelling, running kids. Our room was one of the first few along the corridor. Next time we will ask for a room closer to the end of a corridor.

We were also in a 4th floor room in the 50s section and did not feel it was far from anything. POP is reasonably compact.

Just an FYI, I think your choice of room locations will be limited if you must have a king bed.
