Hi

I'm just about to book DLP and need a wee bit of advice. I can get the Cheyenne the cheapest, Sequoia lodge for £100 more or Disney New York for £200 more. As long as the hotel is good I'm not too bothered but also happy to pay that bit extra if its worth it. I have two children 2 and 5 and going for 4 nights. What would you reccommend?

Thanks :)

Hello!!!

When are you planning on going?

I think all 3 of those hotels are popular with DISers, I have stayed at Sequoia Lodge which was very nice and I've booked the New York for our next trip largely because of the hot breakfast and the great location.

I think the SL is going through a bit of a re-furb at the moment which may be something to consider. SL and HNY both have pools if you think that is something you would use on your trip?

Decisions, decisions!! Are you excited?!!! :goodvibes

Hi :) We are thinking about going in February and yes I'm very excited! I'm just trying to decide if a pools worth it as not sure if we'd have much time to use it anyway? The hot breakfast does sound appealing in the Hotel New York too.

Totally off topic but my wee girl is called Belle too! :)

Hmm, we thought about paying the extra for a better hotel but decided that we wouldn't be in it enough to spend the extra money. We also decided that £100 is still quite a bit of money and we would like the extra to spend in the park or maybe a better meal one night?
We're staying at the Cheyenne next time we go and tbh, are more excited about the theming of this hotel than any others (Disneyland Hotel excluded) DD loves Jess off Toy Story
xx

If you don't think you'd use the pool (it took us until our 3rd trip before we found the time ;) ) then I'd say go for Cheyenne ~ your DDs would love the theming. :thumbsup2

I agree - we've never used a pool in the winter months at DLP, and your girls will love the Cheyenne.

TBH we've found the pools pretty cold for young kiddies which isn't great unless you are there in high summer. Go for the extra Euros in your pocket and enjoy some good meals and extra pressies!

Personally in February (brrrrrrrr), the hot breakfast and location of the New York would make the decision for me! But it's all down to whatever suits you best. With 4 nights/5 days you might like a pool afternoon. We used the pool at SL on out last trip one afternoon when it was raining and DD loved it.

My Belle is an Isabelle - my little princess!!

Thanks for all your help - decided on the Cheyenne and gonna use the extra euros for more spending money :)

My girls loved Cheyenne at the age yours are.

I would advise thermals for all though incase it is cold. Even if you think you might not need them I would take them and wear them as it can get cold as the day passes. Nothing worse than being cold. Just a thought too you might be able to get a bargin on some at the mo with the sun shining. Noticed they had kids thermals in asda the other day! In this weather!

Good luck making your plans.
