I have been reading some so not good reviews of hollywood and vine, we have breakfast scheduled here for our next trip....the four year old really wants to go, but if it is really a horrid place then I really don't want to waste a credit on it. For those of you that have been, please let me know what you thought.

Honestly it's really hard to tell you. For my friends & I, that was our favorite restaurant the entire trip at Disney. Everything was hot, fresh, & just very yummy for us. I know others didn't care for it but some others loved it. It seems to be a hit or miss w/ people.

I thought that it was a really fun place for the kids. Our kids were 8.5, 5.5, and 3.5, and the two younger ones loved it, and loved dancing with JoJo and Goliath. My 8 year old thought that he was too old for that, but did enjoy just watching. Another fun breakfast is TH at Animal Kingdom. Lots of fun dancing there also.

I would really try to get to this one early. We had 8:35 am ADR's, and actually got there about 8:00 (very quick bus service!), and were seated quickly. We were out into the park by 9:15 am. While we were eating, it was not crowded, and was not loud. Characters came out by 8:30, which was good since my kids were able to eat and actually finish a meal before they lost interest due to all of the activity (characters).

If you are like us, I planned alot of character meals, and the kids enjoyed seeing them up close, and never bugged us about waiting in line to see the characters. I think they actually preferred knowing that they would be able to get the one on one time without wasting time that could be spent doing all of the attractions.

We had a fun time here and the food was good. Not 'horrid' in anyway, and I generally avoid buffets. I have a review on the review board if you feel like searching.

We had dinner there and enjoyed it. Most of the bad reviews are for dinner. Many love the character meal so please go with camera ready with your 4yo!

Thanks to all of you for your helpful advice :) Our adr is for 940, so hopefully that will not be too late. I tried for the last three years to have early adr's, and it never fails that we over sleep, or the kids won't get up, etc......so this year I made them a little later, hopefully it will go ok

Some friends of mine went last year, and I recommended the breakfast since their 5 yo loved those characters, and it was the best restaurant their trip. The pictures they got, the interaction their child had, the memories they all have stand out among hte best of their entire 1st trip to Disney.

They didn't mention the food, nor did they probably care too much, they did it because it made their child's trip extra magical. I'd personally do it if I had children that loved those characters, even if the food ended up being bad (which I've never had at Disney to date!)
