Advice please-travel time between destinations?

Please read the details below. If you can answer my questions, I'd really appreciate it!

Visiting MK on April 4. Park hours 9 AM - 10 PM.
SpectroMagic at 9:00 PM.
Wishes at 10 PM.
We want to eat at Yachtsmen Steakhouse. YS is open 5:30 to 9:45.
Question: What time would you leave MK in order to get to YS?

Visiting MK again on April 8. Park hours 9 AM - 11 PM.
SpectroMagic at 9:00 and 11:00.
Wishes at 10 PM.
We want to eat at Teppanyaki Mitsukoshi. TM is open 4:30 to ???.
Question: What time would you leave MK in order to get to TM?

Thanks for your help! I assume about 30-45 minutes travel time, the longer range for TM since it's on the opposite side of World Showcase.

Yes it could take up to 40 if you just miss a bus. If you just catch one it could only take 20, but it's no guarantee.

For Teppanyaki, I'd take a bus to the Boardwalk or the Beach Club and then get off at the first one and just walk to Teppanyaki that way. I would assume it's a shorter walk. But you know what happens when you ASSume!

That's an interesting thought. I hadn't considered that, but you're right - that might be faster. Wouldn't be so bad to walk through FW/WS as long as I'm not sprinting to get to our ADR on time! Thanks for your thoughts - any others?

I'd give myself an hour to get from MK to Yaht Club. Shouldn't take that long, but you never know. Take bus from MK to Yaht Club.

To go from MK to Japan pavillion, I'd give myself a good 2 hours. Take bus from MK and exit bus either at Beach Club or Boardwalk, whichever stop is first. Walk to the World Showcase entrance or take a boat. It is much longer to take a boat than it is to walk, unless you are a very slow walker.

You got that right! It took us an hour to get from GF to YSH via the monorail. And once we got to EPCOT we started jogging to get there. I admit it was poor planning on my part but I never thought for one minute it would take that long!

Yes, if you have the uncanny knack of just missing buses like we do, travel times can be a pain. In some cases, an hour leadtime works well, in others, you barely make your reservation. It is a tough call. Err on the side of conservatism and you should be fine - cooling your heels for awhile, maybe, but at least you are where you need to be.
