So we are going to WDW for 3 nights, a short trip, after Thanksgiving. It is back to value season that week. I have a dinner at Narcoosees, a CP breakfast, Kona breakfast, and CRT breakfast booked. Should I BUY the basic DP? I think we would save $$ but want to make sure. We would only buy for 2 adults and 1 child. My dd is 2 and can eat off our plates. Looks like a lot of people only do it if its Free Dining. Which we can't apply to our ressie bc we used a pin for room only discount. WWYD?

No, I wouldn't because you have a couple of 2 credit meals. For 3 nights, you'll only get 3 TS credits. Your meals require 6.

I'd literally take calculator and do the math. Remember, under the deluxe plan you get 9 meal credits, and 3 table credits under the basic plan. (so you would be going oop for some of your plans)

I'm guessing you will find that you would be losing money under the adults, but saving a bit for the child plan.

With 6 TS credits booked over 3 nights, you may also want to run the math for upgrading to DxDP. I'm not sure how well it will work out, and one of the main benefits of DxDP (the added appetizer) will appear to apply only to the Narcoosee's dinner.

From a cost standpoint, the fact that you're doing several breakfasts is going to make the "value" of the plan a bit lower.

As it is, though, you're at the 2/3 TS rule of thumb for DxDP to make economic sense. You were expecting 3 CS on basic DDP, so you could use your remaining credits there, or add a few more TS meals instead if you go DxDP. Plus you'd get an extra snack/night and the resort mug.
