Advice please on my Itinerary!

I agree with the rest - welcome meeting is a waste of space.
I loved Kennedy Space Centre - and we spent two days in MK and MGM (!) but we all like different things. We spent a day at DTD as well, becuase we shopped and did Disney Quest and the Cirque.....
We had a plan down to the last hour - but didn't stick to it!!!

I agreed the welcome meeting is a waste of a good couple of hours that can be spent at the Disney Parks. But if you have'nt been to one before - its about as interesting as watching paint dry.

On our First trip we went to Magic Kingdom on the Second day and it was fanastic, we went a further 2 times on that trip and still did'nt get to see everything. Although I've been a back to florida a couple times since then we did'nt go back to any of the Disney Parks - we went to all the other attractions instead.

This year we are going back to Florida in September, and we will be visting the Magic Kingdom, MgM, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Gatorland and the HolyLand this time round.

I would agree with ditching the meeting. However... I went on a Thomson Holidays travel agents educational and they told us that people staying in villas MUST go to the meeting as by Florida law they have to be registered within 24 hours of arriving, this did not apply to people staying in hotels or apartments. If this is not done the locks can be changed on the villa. This information only applies to Thomson and their procedures and not necessarily any other operators but I thought you should know.

How old are your kids? Mine were 7 and 4 last time we went and found Epcot boring - so much so we are not doing it this time. Agree about ditching the welcome meeting. What else you do on your first day depends on when you land on the Sunday! We went to Animal Kingdom first, and it was a great way to get introduced to Disney - but go early to see more animals. Trying to fit in more than 1 park a day again depends on how tired the kids are - don't rush them around trying to do everything - it's their holiday too - let them enjoy it at their pace - you can always come back (and you will). I wouldn't miss Sea World - it's another relatively easy paced day - compared with the Magic Kingdom. You will need 2 days to do Magic Kingdom. You (like us) like your water parks and you seem to have a good balance of active and light days.
