I'll be in Orlando the week after Thanksgiving. I'd love to go to MK and Epcot to see the Christmas decorations. How crowded do you think that week will be? Would it be best to go to the parks later in the week...like Wed. through Friday?

We have been in wdw for the last 2 years Thanksgiving thru the first weekend in Dec. Thanksgiving day, Friday, sat are pretty crowded, sunday started to thin out and by Monday is was great. The whole week following Thanksgiving was light w/ the crowds, the decorations were up and the
mvmcp was on. I think it is a great time to go.

We typically go Thanksgiving Week, but last year the DW and went the week after. The crowds are considerably lighter than Thanksgiving week. You'll run into a crowd and/or a line here or there, but with FastPass you'll be glad that you selected this week. I do not remember the lines be any shorter (or longer) later in the week.

As you note all of the decorations are and the Candelight Processional is in operation. If things go as planned I'll be there with you...

Thanks for your replies! This is great news for my husband who doesn't deal well with crowds and waiting in long lines. Can't wait to go!

Traditionally the least crowded time of year, looking for my 8th year in a row this year at that time. Actually, this year, a few days later, but always great then. Enjoy.

We went this week last year. The Sunday after Thanksgiving until the next Thursday were great!!! Fri., Sat. and Sun. the crowds picked up considerably. But we were ALWAYS at the parks before opening and enjoyed that special 2 hour window before it starts getting crowded.
We loved the weather and the decorations!

This is arguably the best time of the year to go...and definitely our favorite. You get all the decorations and flavor that go with Christmas and none of the huge crowds. We went the same week last year, and had to do it again this year! We arrive the Sunday after Thanksgiving, which as other posts say still has the trail end of people from the busy Thanksgiving week, but Monday through Thursday, we did not wait for virtually ANYTHING it is great. By the next weekend, things start to pick up a little, and of course get progresively more crowded as you get closer to Christmas. If you can go this time of year, I think it is the one little gem of a week!!!
