Advice on which restaurant please?

thanks for the walts menu, do you know if you can mix and match any of the kids menus around as our vege son dosen't like eggs ,he likes the burger menu but wouldn't want the burger he'd rather have the ravioli

thanks again

Hi we mixed and matched DD dinner and we had no problem.:)

We have just returned and had main meals at Planet Hollywood, Annettes and Blue Lagoon and they were all good. Service and food at all were excellent. It was the first time we had eaten at Blue Lagoon and had read mixed reports but decided to try it for ourselves and really liked it.

As someone else posted we have never had a bad meal at DLP - just slow service in some counter service places.

Cafe Mickey is the best for interaction in my eyes. I saw characters interacting with adults and kids alike, with Captain Hook and my husband having a little sword/hook fight!! The service here was excellent and friendly and it doesn't have to cost a fortune. We had two courses each, wine and coffees and the kids both had the kids meals. All in all I think it came to about 110 Euro, which was not overpriced by any means considering we all left stuffed (and a bit squiffy from the wine!) It was also the only restaurant I managed to get a really tasty and well thought up vegetarian option.

I'm looking for a fun character meal for my 40th Birthday (just me and DH) but I'm a V. awkward veggie (no fish, mushroom, celery, pepper, courgette, aubergine!!!) Any recommendations?

Table service restaurants will be your best option :)

I would have recommended Cafe Mickey but looking at the menu their veggie options are rather heavy on mushrooms.

You might have more choice at The Lucky Nugget in Frontierland or Inventions (evening only for characters) in the Disneyland Hotel as both are buffets. Inventions is very very nice but the Lucky Nugget is more fun. Not sure if it will be open in the evening on your dates but it will definitely be open lunchtime.

You can check out their menus on this site here and have a look at our Restaurant sticky for reviews. :)

thanks Ware Bears - I hadn't even realised there was a character dinner at Inventions!:thumbsup2 Might push the boat out and have dinner at Inventions the day we arrive, the Birthday Tea at Plaza Gardens on my actual Birthday, and then have lunch at Lucky Nugget the day after:cheer2:
