Advice on Vero Beach

My family is thinking of spending a few days at Disney's Vero Beach resort this summer. I am not a DVC owner unfortunately, and renting points would make the stay much cheaper. If we decide to go should I try to find a DVC member to rent points from as soon as possible or can I wait until 7 months before the trip when more members can make the ressie for me? I would think that resort does not require a reservation as far ahead as the resorts located in WDW. Does anyone know if this resort is crowded in the summer? Thanks for any info!!

Summer time shouldn't be a problem. You can wait for 7 months.
