Advice on Tours/Events for December

We're headed to Disney before Christmas week. So not the insanity between Christmas and NYEs but late enough that crowds will start rolling in.

We're staying AKL as it's one of our favorite down time resorts. Can hang on the balcony, time/snacks in the lounge and I could truly sit for hours by the fire pit. Weather permitting a swim. We also have Jiko booked a couple nights we're there (it's a fave enough to repeat) and Saana (a first for us). Depending on which park on the other days, I may shoot for TS out and about.

Kenny's crowd calendar has Saturday heavy across the board. So I'm planning to FP some rides of interest TBD park and the Wild Animal Trek at AK Saturday afternoon.

Any recommendations for other tours or events to do to escape the crowds? I've thought maybe the snorkel tour in Epcot.

We're not candlelight processional people. Nor super early risers so some of the tours like Marceline is out.

You can always do the self guided tour of the monorail deluxe resorts for the holiday decor. Then of course there is the EPCOT resort loop. These can be done anytime during the day/evening, cost nothing and you can always pick a good place for lunch/dinner along the way.

Another is the Holiday Sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness.

Has anyone done the snorkeling at Epcot in the Sea Pavillion?

We're definitely in for Wild Animal Trek.

Looking what can be our second fun event. Maybe the Jingle whatever dessert party if that's an option this year.
