advice on Park Tickets

We did a bounceback for Sept. '08 to get the free dining. At this time we only booked 1 reg. park ticket for each my DH and I. This will be my first trip booking everything myself. We normally do the parkhopper for our trips. My question is...... should we call WDW and change our ressie for the entire stay w/parkhopper, or locate tickets elsewhere??? And if elsewhere....where?

I don't think you save much money by buying elsewhere - I usually just buy a one day ticket because I have an AP.

If you are going to be there for several days you might as well change the one day ticket to a ticket for the length of your stay. When you get past six days the price only goes up a couple of dollars for each additional day. We had 8 day tickets with Free DP on our recent visit. Since you are required to buy a ticket with your package, I don't think you will save much elsewhere. Others may know better though.

I purchase my tickets at a military base where you don't have to pay tax. I'm not in the military, but i can go to the travel agency on the base and pick up my tickets for a discounted price PLUS NO TAX!
Our 7 day park hoppers were about $500 for 2. We purchased them before the price increase. The current price from "The Official Ticket Center" which the DIS links to is currently priced at $271 delivered.
