Advice on MYW & Free Dining Please :)

Hiya Everyone,

Hope this is the right place to post for advice....

So I've heard a lot of talk about the MYW with free dining. DFi and I were already in the "we need to get to FL" mood so this is tempting us even further lol.

But can you please explain a few things to me?

1) I have seen people say that you can just buy a one day ticket and get free meals throughout your trip.... now this would be ideal for us because we already have some tickets left over from last year but is it true? I phoned Disney reservations and they said we had to get a six day... but if thats true then there are going to be a lot of disappointed Disers I feel (cos' they claim to have booked and just got the one day)

2) What is the best way to book this? Through Disney?

3) Do you get vouchers for your meals (a la the Animal Kingdom meal certificate)?

Thanks for any and all advice. We are sorely tempted but need all the facts first!!

1) Yes, it's true that you can get a 1 day MYW ticket with your package and get free dining. The number of nights lodging and number of days dining have to match, but the tickets don't. You can get a 1 day all the way up to 10 day MYW ticket with your package. The only catch- every person on the resevation (aged 3 and up) has to purchase a ticket for the same length of time.

2)You can book through Disney or any TA- I'd suggest if you use a TA, go with an agency like Magical Journeys or Dreams Unlimited, who specialize in Disney travel. But do it soon- the offer ends July 2, and there are a limited number of rooms available at each resort. From what I've heard, there are some resorts all sold out of the discounted package rooms.

3) No vouchers- the credits are tied to your room key card. You give your card to the server and tell them you are on the Dining plan- they deduct the credits off.
