Advice on moving around a big group

We have a group of 9 or 10 going to Orlando for 5 days pre-cruise. Renting a van large enough for all of us is very expensive and seems like a hassle - paying for parking, getting lost, etc.

Would it be better to pre-book taxi vans for all our trips? I pretty much know our whole schedule and what time we need to be where on each day.

I checked at the FLA tours site and it seems like its about 50-60 dollars one way to each of the places we are going. But if I spend 200. per day on taxi vans it's still cheaper and probably easier than renting a van and driving myself?

Our whole trip is mostly off-site so WDW transportation doesn't help us.

Would love any input/advice/suggestions.

Yes -- don't try to move around the whole group en bloc unless you absolutely have no choice. (As in only one is an adult and the rest are minor children.)

Split up to get around if you can. It is cheaper and provides more flexibility when part of the group wants to do one thing and another part wants to do something else.

I think it really depends on what you are doing in that five days pre-cruise. If it were a matter of getting to and from the airport to the port, I would definitely do something like Florida Tours. If you plan to get dropped off at a hotel and use the pool for five days without planning on going anywhere, I might do the same thing. If you think you are going to do site seeing or head to the parks for any of those days, you are better off renting a couple of full or midsize vehicles. Check for rental car codes on www.mousesavers.com. Getting around Orlando is pretty straight forward, so I wouldn't worry about getting lost. Just make sure you print off directions from the airport to your hotel, the airport to the port for your cruise, your hotel to the parks if you are going there... Having the freedom of being able to come and go as you please, far outweighs any hassle.

Rent multiple cars. Cheaper and more flexible.
