Advice on driving to DLRP

Hi All.

I have just priced airtickets from Brostol to CDG for 4 and its £593.60. Plus £120 for taxis each way = £713.60)

The Eurostar prioces are not yet out for later in the year so just wondered if anyone has any idea on a price so I can compare them (1 car 4 passengers) . We will be driving from South Wales .

What about drive times ? Road toll charges ? Petrol estimates.

Also is it a straightforward route for someone who has never driven before.

Eurostar is passenger only but we have booked Euro Tunnel for car plus 5 of us at £146 return. Nicely discounted with Tesco vouchers (£35*4 = £140)

Drive time in France 3 - 3 1/2 hours with toils approx €20. The return French leg of the journey we are guesstimating will be less than a tank of diesel which in our case is £40 approx.

It is very straight forward with the only slightly challenging part when you are near CDG. If you PM me I could provide you with a route

Driving is Europe (excluding the UK!) is very easy.

Diesel is much cheaper so that helps, it was under €1 away from the Motorway.

It usualy takes us 2 hrs 45 mins to get there from Calais.

We recently came back after driving. We went by ferry as we thought the kids would enjoy this. This cost us £62 but we used our Tesco vouchers so it only cost us £15.50 in vouchers.

The drive was very simple and took us around the 3 hours mark. The tolls cost 19 euros 20 each way.

We would drive again, although the return journey did drag a bit.
