My family of 5 (3 kids: ages 10,8,6) have tix to Cirque at 6:00. We plan on doing Typhoon Lagoon that morning. We are staying at the Polynesian. My question is this... Do you think it is possible to eat at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe before the show? We do currently have ADR's for 8:00 but I was kind of hoping to go back to the Poly to see fireworks etc from the beach since this is our last night there. Of course by this time we will have seen tons of fireworks I'm sure! :goodvibes Also, I am sure my kids might want to venture out to do some shopping at DTD. (I made the mistake of letting watch the planning DVD...now they know to much!;) ) Maybe we should do this after the show in case we actually buy something?

I just don't know how long it would take to eat if we had a 4 to 4:30 adr. We are picking up our tix at will call so we have to allow time for that.

I guess I am just needing some advice from someone who has been there done that!!:)

How long does it take to get to DTD from the Poly anyway?

Thanks for you help I LOVE these boards, but it almost makes making decisions harder for me when knowing ALL the options!!:goodvibes

i ate at the cafe b4 the show last dec. I got there early ( crowds came in aboout 6). We had plenty of time. the food is very good. (esp the pizza).
in fact on our last trip, my children asked to eat there again.
the show was great BTW.
we did typhhon laggon this past dec. had a blast.

I'm not sure about before the show. We've decided to make 8pm ADR's for House of Blues at 8pm.

Everyone says to arrive at Cirque early as not to miss the pre-show. Be sure to allow enough time for that, too.

We're doing Cirque for the first time on our next trip and we are going to schedule ADRs for WPC for 8:00. These decisions are hard, aren't they?

We have done the 6:00 pm La Nouba show 2x. Once we ate before the show at 4:30, and the 2nd time we ate after the show, at 8:15. I preferred early dining, as it was much more relaxing and the restaurant (WGP Cafe) was not busy. We had plenty of time to eat (note: you would need more time if you are on the DDP and are ordering three courses) and make the preshow, as the Cirque tent is just a stone's throw from WGP. The other reason I liked eating early is that we ended up just eating two meals that day: an early lunch at 11:00 and then our dinner, which we actually probably got served around 5:00. It worked out great!
