Advice on breakfast

Hello all! I've got all my ADR's ready, but i'm debating on skipping our Crystal Palace breakfast just because we'll be switching resorts that day and we have an 8:10 am ressie. This means we either have to wake up really early and get all our stuff ready to exit the first resort, check out, check in to the second resort...ask them to hold our stuff until our room is ready...and then hurry to MK for breakfast.

OR we can get our stuff ready, leave for MK to get breakfast, come back to the first resort and check out, check into second resort and come back to MK to start the day. My problem about the second idea is that by the time we get back to MK, the kiddos will be tired of all the shuffling and not want to go to the park until way later...and I know my kiddos will not want to leave MK once we get inside the park. It's hard to explain to a 1, 2, and 7 year old that we have to come right back when they are there in the Magic Kingdom.

So what i'm really asking is, am I missing a lot skipping our Crystal Palace meal? :confused3 We're already doing the Princess Storybook breakfast @ Epcot, Play and Dine breakfast @ DHS, the Ohana breakfast @ the Poly and Chef Mickey's @ CR...so there is no shortage of Character meals. (there is also one morning @ the Kona Cafe for the DH since he's obsessed with Kona coffee...we had to do something for him too! LOL!) I don't want to cancel if we're missing out on something that is truly special.

I have done CRT once, Norway with Princesses once, Chef Mickeys twice and CP twice.
I enjoy CP more than any other. My kids are DD5, DS8. The food is the best and the characters seem to interact more. They do a little dance around the restaurant with the kids. The others do not do this. Plus my son is getting a little sick of all the princesses. I can't go wrong with Pooh and friends.
Chef Mickey is good also, but it's not in a park. Great thing about CP is that you get that private time in the park before official opening and then you can get the jump on rope drop!

There is a third option:

Check out of the 1st resort and ask them to keep your bags. Go to breakfast, get some MK time in, than go back to 1st resort, get your bags and head to the second resort.

We love Crystal Palace...it's one of our must-dos every trip. But, you are in a tough spot, so skipping it may be inevitable.

We might just have to do the third option! :) See, this is why I needed another head to think for me. LOL! Thank you so much. Plus, getting into the park before it opens seems totally neat...for photo ops and such.

An add on to the third option....Pack up and check out of first resort and have bell services deliver your luggage to second resort, they will hold it there for you until you can check in. Just a little less hassle with 3 young kids!

I agree with the posters.. check out, leave your bags with guest services at the new resort, be ready to start your day with whatever you need for that day and just go and enjoy....

Whatever you do with your bags consider trying to get a lunch ADR at CP instead. Just about every meal you have listed is breakfast. How about trying some other food? Being smack in the middle of MK makes CP a great break location (for you and the little ones). I have not been, but many think it is the best food in MK, give it a try. If you do hope you can find a suitable ADR.

We have asked for a late check out at the first hotel, go to the early breakfast, go back to check out to the hotel and then check into the second hotel. Works great

We do have other ADRs besides all the breakfast ones. :) I thought about the CP lunch, but the fact that we can get in before the park actually opens was the reason why we picked breakfast. Is there anything else that I can't miss at MK? :)

Check out of your hotel. Bell services will transport your luggage to the second hotel.

Have breakfast at CP. Enjoy your day at MK.

Check into your second hotel.

Do you know if Shades of Green will do that? We're going from Shades of Green to the Poly. That would be too cool if could do that! :goodvibes

Nope, I just noticed you have breakfast food at lots of places and I think the CP Lunch/Dinner menu is one of the best around (haven't tasted it yet). So I was simply suggesting, still getting in some Crystal Palace time, but at another meal; no disrespect to the CP breakfast menu per se. We love bfast food too, but this time I have all lunch and dinner character meals; last time we just did CM's for bfast. We'll do CS for breakfast.
