Hi,
I went to Disney for the first time in August 2011 with the dining plan TS and plan to go in this August 2012. I have to say that this was my only disappointment of the trip, was the food in general. Last year it was just me and my DS11 and this year I am bringing my DBF with me and both he and my son are kind of steak and potato guys. I would love to try a variety but just can't since they are so picky. Last year, we went to CP an H&V and noticed the meat was very rare, both my son and BF like well done and just seemed even at CRT the meat was rare. Last year we at at CP, Garden Grille, H&V, CRT (my son's favorite believe it or not), Hoopy Dee Doo(I love barbeque and was not impressed). This year, even though I can't make my reservations until February I am tossing around LeCellier for Lunch(I have seen bad reviews on here lately), Raglan Road, CP again, Chef Mickey's for breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern, 50's prime time, possibly 1900 Park Fare, ESPN, maybe another signature CRT, Yachtsman, etc. Any recommendations I was just overall thinking the food was the only thing that could have been better last time around. Thanks for any advice. I still can't get over how rare the meats were in every place we went even when we asked for well done. :thumbsup2

Hi Karbase8! We really love the food at Disney, but that's because we make several ADRs at signatures and usually go lighter on the character meals. A recent exception was our 4-year-old's birthday weekend. We booked several character meals (including, but not limited to CRT and CP) for the celebration. We commented on how these choices could have a negative impact on a guest's view of Disney dining.

Of the ADRs you mentioned from your last trip, Garden Grill is the only one where we really enjoy the food. And of the ADRs you mention for your next trip, we like the food at Liberty Tree and 50's - both are part of our regular rotation (but only for lunch.)

Our favorites include Jiko, Yachtsman, Via Napoli, California Grill, La Hacienda, Bluezoo, Il Mulino and Le Cellier. With these ADRs, we have a very positive view of Disney dining!

My family and I were there this past August as well. I would definately do lunch at Le Cellier. We did this last trip and I had the best burger I've ever had and my daughter had a steak that was excellent! We also did Raglan Road for the 1st time and I had a steak meal that was excellent and the entertainment and atmosphere was awesome. The best steak I've had on property was at California Grill. ESPN Zone has a great menu but the steak is average at best. If you want the best steak on property I've heard that Don Shula's Steakhouse (at the Dolphin) is the place to go.

Thank you so much for both your inputs! I definitely don't want steak at every meal LOL LOL, but just meaning my BF and DS are picky kind of meat and potato guys and I was hoping Le Cellier would be good for them, I thought Raglan and Espn they like pub food so thought that would be good. It's funny since my son is so picky I though doing a lot of buffet's would be good and I had a good experience at CP way back in 1996, I didn't hate the buffets but my son said he preferred a sit down he loved CRT mainly I think the atmosphere he didn't eat much of his food, but thought it was better than every where else.
