Hi,

My mom & I want finally purchase AP's for May 06' trip. When can we do it? I was hoping they'd be availiable in Jan???? We get the through MS for the discount, right? Thanks!

If you can log into the member website you should be able to order the AP's online with the member discount. You can buy them now if you want. The reason to buy them in advance is to lock in the current price. They send you a receipt with a card attached that you take to any Park ticket window to get the actual ticket. For New AP's the ticket is good for 1 year from the date of first use. So even if you buy them now they are not activated until you go to a park and get the actual ticket. If you have trouble purchasing online then you will need to call MS to have them put the order through.

Your pass is not activated until first use, so it would expire 366 days from the first day you use it. When you purchase through the web site, you will be sent a voucher which you will have to exchange at Customer service to get the real pass. Then you have to go to the turnstiles to have it activated with your personal biometric reading.

Thanks!!!! Is this true if you call MS for the tickets??

I've never done it through MS, but I assume they would send you a voucher as well. They can't start counting until you activate it since they need your fingers there! :)

Got ours last year through MS (pre-DVC days) and were sent vouchers that were redeemable for the actual AP at the gate of the parks or DTD. Remember you'll need ID for eveyone (except children) and each person has to redeem their own pass, for finger scanning purposes.

Do you think they really scan our fingers? Or is it just a ruse so that people don't switch tickets?

Has anyone ever put the wrong ticket in the turnstile?
