I need to pick the creative Dis brain!!!

The company I work for supports a large charitable organization. They have partnered with them and run 4 different educaitonal programs in developing countries. My company is now running a contest and 4 people will be given a chance to visit the programs (one from the US only). I did the questionnaire where they made you find educational statistics on the web but I am now stuck on the last question. So I thought the incredible Dis mind might be able to help. :thumbsup2

Here's the question. If given a chance to visit how could I report back to the rest of the firm. They obviously want you to share the knowledge that you will receive by going there.
So I thought the typical powerpoint, home movie, etc. But are there any other creative ideas that might put me over the top? I have no idea why I really want to go but the more I read about the programs the more excited I get. The US person will probably be assigned the program in Peru.
So any thoughts on a creative thoughts?? I'm a business person so my mind is much more analytical than creative!! I'm at a loss. :confused3

TIA! :)

What about a blog? If your circumstance would allow it, could you do daily updates to your blog while visiting the program and then come home and present it? Or, they could simply follow along with you.

I think a nice home movie would be good too. There are a lot of programs and websites that allow you to create professional looking movies!

Good luck!!

The question is "how tech savvy" are the people you are reporting back to. If you put together a package with twitter, or a facebook page, and or even an I-phone app, and they do not understand how those work, it would not benefit you.

If tech savvy, I would do a combination of the above, if not:

I would do a good old fashioned mailing campaign with postcards and scrapbook pages, and "hand-written" accounts of your days/travel. Nothing says commitment more than actually writing, taking pics, and organizing it for someone else. I would also make sure to include a hard cover booklet so that all the material could be organized at the end of the assignment.

Good Luck!

They are all pretty tech savvy. I love to scrapbook so this might be a nice idea even if I do it as an extra for the group the firm. They can use it with their recruiting and other "corporate citizen" type events they sponsor. Thanks!! :)

Keep the ideas flowing please! :)

Also, check out this website: www.voicethread.com

You do have to sign up but it's free of charge as long as you just want to do the minimum. On the home page, watch the video/presentation titled "What is Voicethread anyways?".

Maybe you can use this too?

i 2nd the twitter idea, to go along with that you can use twitpic.com and send pictures along with your tweets.

Okay, I submitted my application. For the 3 possible presentations I did:
1) daily blog with pictures either straight to the company website or to Twitter/Facebook
2) video blog to be uploaded at the end to the firm intranet
3) digital scrapbook that can be uploaded to the intranet and then re-printed in hard copy should they wish to distribute them.

Thanks for your ideas everyone. I scrapbook and never even thought of incorporating it. And even thought I was thinking a video diary, I wasn't even thinking a daily blog! You guys are the best. Thanks. :thumbsup2

I'll let you know if I win. Keep your fingers crossed.
