Advice Needed-the parade is conflicting w/my PS time!

We have a PS at MGM's Sci-Fi for 3:50 pm. We will not be eating lunch, therefore we wanted an early dinner. If we are seated before 4 pm, we can eat off their lunch menu (and save $$ and calories!)

My problem is I just checked the times for everything on the disney website and the Parade is at 3:30. We don't want to miss it! We love the parades, plus the MGM one has all the good characters in it and the 5 year old will be estatic.

Is there any possible way to see all of the 3:30 parade and somehow make our 3:50 PS? If I push our time back to 3, do you think we can get out of there in time to see the parade? Does anyone know how long those parades take to circle their entire path. I don't even know where Sci-Fi is in relation to the parade route. Advice please!!! Thanks!

someone in your party doesn't mind leaving the parade about 5 minutes before it ends to get to your PS, you should make it in time. However, it sounds to me like you are really pushing it to get there and have an order in before 4:00.

No, you will not be able to eat at 3:00 and make it to the parade. I would not make your PS past 2:15 if the parade starts @ 3:30 because you will need to find a spot about 20 - 30 minutes before the parade.

Sci-Fi is easy to get to if you walk down the path to the left of the Great Movie Ride. You can see the parade from in front of the Great Movie Ride, so find a spot in that area and you will be able to get back and forth from the restaurant quickly.
